Dyna-D campaign only applies to the instance, not the shared area, correct? Theres nothing mentioned in the campaigns page but I'm pretty sure I remember reading something like that?

I can't recall them ever saying that, for what it's worth. Moreover, the double value from squadron enemies for +3 unlocks seems tailor made for the shared area.
Does Fu actually absorb your buffs in the true sense of the term, or does he erase YOUR buffs and it powers him up accordingly based on the number of buffs absorbed? I've always believed it was the latter, because I've never seen a message saying "Fu's [buff] effect wears off" the same way as Glassy Gorger. If Fu absorbs like Utsusemi, he doesn't appear to get the shadows in return, it just "counts" as a buff he took in powering (and weakening) himself. I could be mistaken.
Welp, I was mistaken. Fu steals your buff effects (idk why I thought it was a simple dispel/power up mechanic). Used Souleater and 3 other minor buffs to slightly weaken Fu, and his first attack did 54k. :)
Does anyone know what the hell you feed the Tiny Bugard to make it shudder and grow?
I've been feeding it Sandy Carrots which it loves, and it's 3 Solid Stars for a few days now. But carrots don't make it shudder. BG-Wiki says feed it meat or seeds, so I tried a Savory Shank and I got the message, "Surprisingly, Buggalodon didn't completely hate that!"
WIki says to feed it Beastmen Blood to change it to an Abyssobugard, but I want the standard Bugard.
Is anyone in the know? Is the shudder message not guaranteed? Every previous monster shuddered when I fed them anything. They didn't always change, but I always got shudder messages. What's the deal?
When you get the "there's an impossible to guage thud left to be made" message in Trove, is there a chance that you're just being trolled and there's no ITG chest at all?
Probably, but you may never know if your next chest is a Mimic or the ITG (or something else). Feel like it's intentionally vague on purpose and you can never prove it one way or another, forcing you to go with your gut.
Personally, I think the message is meant to mess with you: either you believe it and risk losing everything or ignore the voice in your head and exit and miss out on potential loot.
Welp. I got the message today with only two chests left to pick from. I picked the one that wasn't the mimic and told my intuition was wrong. So I'm leaning into that it's a message to screw with you.

IIRC if you want a tiny monster to evolve into a regular adult, there is no 'food' for it just doing the regular feeding/interaction should evolve it naturally.
1. Pray they're on the AH, buy as many as you can there.
2. ENM30, pup overdrive kills them all solo easily. Drops 1~2(+?) random clusters. ENM50 is also possible, but less easy.
At this point, if you can get a strong lead (24+) memories in any of the 3 anima types, cycle to that one instead.
3. If you're not already heavily committed to profane or bitter, consider somber instead. They can be despoiled from Weepers regardless of element, which are more common. Seethers gave fleeting, I never succeeded a despoil on other mob types and eventually saved cooldowns for Weepers.
4. Spam kills on non-apex empty. Drop rate is very good, but is tied to the element of the mob, so ends up being ~1/8 of the real value for the memory you want. Uselessly, light/dark memories drop from all aligned mobs so you'll end up with a lot more of those. There was no other strong bias to one type of memory or another from full clearing the floor.
I had no AH stock and only got 2 somber clusters from ENM. It took about 16 hours of more-or-less paying attention farming top floor Mea to get the rest.
More: I tracked it a bit but can't find the data now - not all element glows were present. There were less than 8 models (as seen by windower.ffxi.get_mob_by_id(id).model[1], this aligned to the elemental glow) of each mob popping, but somber/bitter/profane drop rates were even. Whatever elements were missing were not ones I was keeping. It's possible that other promy might have a bias in elements appearing if the model distribution is different there.
I've farmed a lot of memories in Promyvion. I generally target the specific ones I need, but sometimes I just mass-murder everything in the zone.
You can EASILY get a stack or more of each memory by mass-murdering everything in a single Promy from F1 to the Spire. That's typically more than enough for me so I stop, but if you want to get more, just go back and do it again. It probably takes <10 minutes to do all 4 floors, maybe 15.
I just go THF/BLM and 1-shot all the empty of the appropriate element.
Okay, interesting. I think I need about 24 stacks to finish and I'm at ~6 right now. I'm about tied between Profane and Somber right now. The Despoil note is interesting and I'll be doing that.
Do I have to force NQs for these anima synths? Bgwiki says HQs aren't allowed, but HQ Anima synths just make more of the same thing.

HQs aren't allowed for items that have an HQ result, like Saber. For Anima you want as high of an HQ chance as possible because all 40 of them can be turned in.
Nice, thanks! I probably only need ~18 stacks of memories, then.
There were 3 stacks of profane on the AH and I haven't really put a call out to the server for buying profane memories yet locally, so my guess is that I'll have more than half by EoD and we'll see where it goes from there.
Update:
Done!
I farmed maybe 6 stacks and the server came through big (thanks, Cables!) The 4th delivery was Imperial Cermet, so I slammed that out (Silica from Makara in Misareaux). Now I'm turning the extra memories into Anima for shield%. Recent Relic killshot trials had me waist deep in Mercury and Morimar digging for Marble Nuggets got me a ton of Sulfur.
Anyway, I'll probably be stuck on stage 4 for a long time and there's basically no rush at this point. I'll probably do whatever I have to so I can store spheres on the NPC and then proceed at a slower pace.
So the Bugard continues to not shudder or anything upon feeding, whereas in the past, my Lizard shuddered or whatever every time I fed it. As did my Kraken.
Has anyone else raised the Bugard? What food did you use?
Monsters evolving is incredibly random. Welcome to monster rearing. You can have a 3* monster for weeks, feeding the right items, and it won't evolve. You just have to keep doing it until it happens. Some are worse than others, so comparing two monsters, especially since it's random as ***, is meaningless. Do what the wiki says and they will evolve eventually.
For those of you that visit Bg you already know the premise of this thread but for those that don't, it's simple.
