What Do You Do On FFXI After Your Friends Quit.

I've played FFXI about 3 and a half years, I've got a lot done in that time. I partied back when it was a grind and exp didn't come easy. I had all the story lines done before they were nerfed. The game is still fun, but the best part of it to me was doing all those things with friends, and taking in the cutscenes and stories of the game. Now exp is easy, getting most things is easy, and a ton if stuff is soloable. But what fun is soloing? I think soloing sucks. The whole point of the game to me was making friends and getting stuff done, even when sometimes you'd just as soon choke some of your friends than try to complete missions with them. Anyway, the whole point is what do you do after your friends quit the game. Yeah yeah you could make more friends, but it's not the same when your best friends leave. I stand around looking for shouts on a mission or fight that may be halfway entertaining, but even that gets pretty boring. So the majority of my time on FFXI is spent just standing around reading shouts. And yeah I could join a new LS, but another problem with FFXI. I worked hard for what I have and I'm not breaking my back to get someone else their stuff and never get anything in return.
