Hmm... so I need advice, after my initial surge of game play when I bought the game earlier this summer, I am currently on my 3rd play through, oddly enough at the very point needed to quickly and effectively access the new DLC. My problem is that the other two jerks that I played with (my friends) had shorter attention spans than I and were not as interested in getting all the trophies etc, and quickly moved off the game while I continued to play. Now I am at least 40 to 60 lvls higher than they are and am at a point where I don't see too many summon signs kicking around in the new content. The new content is pretty difficult on the 3rd play through and I nearing the point of just being stuck.
Should I start over, I sure don't want to. I'm lvl 236 and my character does have it's faults, at one time ended up spiking my vitality from 40 to 64 through one missed button OUCH.
Dark souls was a success and them deciding to somehow make it more profitable seems to be killing it
Why is success not enough? Another game like dark souls is fine, we don't need a dark souks party or dark souls kart urgently
C'mon dude, profit is what heats the house, and pays the bills. What's wrong with capitalizing on the name you've built for yourself? If you don't like the idea of "Dark Souls Kart" (which I don't) then isn't the simple solution to simply not play it? It will surely be sad if the franchise goes the way of Star Wars, but who cares, Dark Souls (The Empire Strikes Back) will still be just as awesome.
Speaking of capitalization, are there figurines available anywhere? I wanna get one for my friends.
level 120 lets you get 3 stats are lvl 50 which is enough for all weapons and all spells in game, more than enough and no reason to level a character above that unless duoing with someone lvl 200 etc yeah
I would definitely start over. Can make a job vit +50 str+50 dex +50 to handle almost any weapon. Or a job attunement 50 faith50 int50 to spam any spell freely
plus this way you can collect every npc bought spell in game on each playthrough so by time you get back to ng+ you have much more casting of spells you like (like great fireball on bosses)
Yeah but isn't the ultimate goal for any player to max out their character?
Took that new char through the game last night on a whim. And thought "screw this I can walk in anor londo with all my humanity and I won't die, done this a million times"
nope~ lol *** archers. Wish I had remembered ring of fog to just shoot them down

That's a nice look into capitalism, but let's face it, it has the potential to ruin a solid, powerful title that has appeased many people, like many games before it. You can say, "Well just don't buy it," but it's not about the money. For me personally, it's that I want to preserve something that is inherently great. In video games, when certain aesthetics are lost, they rarely ever come back. Dark Souls is the first game I've ever achieved Platinum on, and I did it because I love the game more than any other title in this generation. It is a shining diamond in the rough, and I will be incredibly disappointed if it is snuffed out merely to broaden it's audience, which could potentially exclude me.
I only ever hated the first one on my first character because I was silly and didn't believe in changing equipment. Target Shield is NOT a good shield to take them on with. Nor is a Bandit Knife a good weapon to fight them with either. :|
They should make the next one more accessible, make a crap ton of money, then make the third one like the first just to troll the crap out of all the new players..
After thinking about it a while this would be a good thing for them, get the name out there then bring it back to its roots and watch everyone cry cause they suck (kinda like what Abyssea is to the "real" game) That would be the biggest win in my book.
Wouldn't happen. Risk losing all that money they're making after such an accessible game was made? Miyazaki would be all over it, but he's just a supervisor now.

Did you guys ever hate Titanite Demons as one of the worst mobs?
I made this because before now I avoided hand to hand combating these douches.
Narshe since you got the same drop weapon I did on your first playthrough, this will be even simpler. If you get fed up with these mobs like I did, watch this vid~
Maybe for some. My ultimate goal is to make successful PvP builds of various types that I can enjoy and share with others. Eventually, I'll buckle down and platinum the game and max a character out. Someday.
I'm enjoying my Dex/Faith hybrid thoroughly once again. Darkmoon Blade is just delicious against people who don't use shields.
Depends on my mood. If it's a bad one and I'm trying to work off some anger or something, I'll go full hollow and be very try hard as far as tactics go.
Otherwise I'll be rolling all around you. Attempt a parry here and there. Practice Roll BS and dead angles.
well no, I fell down there and died....and then I noticed there were green shinies so I fell back willingly and killed all the dudes and snakes and stuff and got my shinies..then I ran around the corner to see what else was there and then promptly died.

This is not a universal member name > gamertag list for entire site. Only list your name if you own Bloodborne, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls I, Dark Souls II, or Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, or plan to, this way members of the site can coordinate playing together, matchmaking, etc.
After you click the link, the only thing you'll need to do is click "EDIT IN BROWSER", then add your FORUM name, then the gamertag/username for the platform you play the game on. Please do not copy and paste a cell, this will cause borders to look weird and I'll have to open it up to fix it.
