My first attempt at the fight ended quickly because he kept doing the charge attack (supplemented with Ornstein's charge attacks too), that's why I was backing up so much. Then I remembered you have to bait him to get him to do anything.
As long as he didn't land on me, I could, but I'd be really hurting.
Thought the blurriness was just my eyes because I need new glasses... didn't realize they didn't bother to put in scaling background resolution when you change screen size. Borderless fullscreen is nice too
You're probably already aware of this, but aside from DSFix there's also other mods you can use for the game that improve things like high -res UI and fonts, new stat icons etc. You can find them by looking up Dark Souls Nexus on google. When at the site, click on top files and it's all there on the first page. You will need to register a free account. These require DSFix to be installed and for texture override to be set to 1 in the dsfix ini file.
I personally use the high res Xbox 360 HD icon interface (I play with a 360 controller) and high res subtitles/fonts/UI files. It's like night and day for me.
If you're already aware of the site, then of course, disregard this.
I love it honestly, I really felt like I was exploring the sludge of dark souls. I loved getting inflicted with toxic from a mile away, seriously. I really feel they nailed it in making you feel like that whole environment was poisonous.
There are secrets hidden on the way down, and I loved exploring for each and everyone of them.
I would say this movie clip sums up quite nicely the way I felt when I was trying to leave Blighttown for the first time... and finally finding the way out after a few hours.
I've always found Blighttown to be sort of a rite of passage in Dark Souls, it's really the first difficult area you come to but definitely not the last. Nowadays I just skip it though and go through the back way.
I was browsing through articles earlier and saw this. Reminded me of Kali, although this Rukia doesn't like Blighttown.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN IN. You are allowed to make anonymous edits. Please be respectful and only edit the workbook if you intend to add yourself to the list. This is not a universal member name > gamertag list for entire site. Only list your name if you own Bloodborne, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls I, Dark Souls II, or Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, or plan to, this way members of the site can coordinate playing together, matchmaking, etc.
After you click the link, the only thing you'll need to do is click "EDIT IN BROWSER", then add your FORUM name, then the gamertag/username for the platform you play the game on. Please do not copy and paste a cell, this will cause borders to look weird and I'll have to open it up to fix it.
This thread was created, by request, to promote discussion of Dark Souls. I'll be updating the OP with various resources, video links, upcoming news, character builds, PvP matching, and so on as users post.
