Here is a map if you want to use it Daus, but honestly if you take it slow and stand your ground (against a wall away from the edges of certain death) then you can make it through with little trouble.

I have yet to clear out the room of the 5 giant skeletons guarding the two shinies. That room is a bit too rough for me to handle lol.

I just ran in, grouped the skeles, pulled them to the side of the room away from the item, grabbed the item and ran! At low SL on this playthrough (like 20 or so I think)?

I've never tried fighting them all. Sounds horrible.

Oh, and you will learn to hate skeleton dogs. Yes, you will.

Best I've done is kill 2 or 3 before I fell. Maybe if the room was lit up that might be different, but yea.

They're just so durable is the issue, not to mention powerful. The odds of getting stunlocked into oblivion if you get hit by even one is annoyingly high too :(

I managed to kil three with a bow and arrow and then dropped down. The previous time i had ran and got jumped by five so I figured this time thered be two left that i could outrun....but i was so very wrong. Died horribly. My other issue is when I go the correct way I get massacred by the skeleton dogs and knight and archers....fhfjjfjdkdkkaksjdn

I think Cast Light is actually a Sorcery and so based on Intelligence, but I agree with your point!

If you have too much more trouble and you're within co-opable levels of my current char (SL ~82) then I could run you through it if it gets too bad. She has to do ToTG as her last area too.

Mine too. I haven't tried it yet.

Despite the fact I have a metric ***-ton of useable humanity and no need for souls, I don't like risking losing them. Especially when getting past everything to the elevator is a chore in itself.

hey (`-`) if anyone is interested in the PC version, be warned. It is 100% port, don't expect to play it on keyboard because it is absolutely unplayable (END Key = start button? lol..). Anyway, runs great with a gamepad, specifically if you've got a PS3 or Xbox USB compatible controller (most logitechs are 360 compatible with Xinput). I literally did have to dust off the logitech to play this, not like that's a bad thing, just don't expect to play this on keyboard at all.

Well that was embarrasing, got my first invasion ever at the first bonfire in blighttown, the guy approached me and bowed, I bowed back, after trading a couple of blows I rolled myself off the edge to my death.

If you're at the Archives, then you've placed the lord vessel, which means you can choose any of the three paths: Tomb of the giants, Dukes archives, or Lost Izalith. I would strongly suggest doing Lost Izalith before you hit up the Tomb. The hat is available to you if you take the side path before the flaming demon boss while you are still in Demon Ruins. you need to kill all the crawler bugs on the floor in that path (I think there are 12) once you do, you'll get the sunlight helm.

What covenant are you btw?

I'm thinking about wasting some money just to see if my computer can play it. I highly doubt it can, but I just need to know how bad ; ;

Probably will reject me the moment i try to open it~

From Soft stated a controller would pretty much be necessary to play. It's not their fault apparently no one listened to them. Tumblr is full of people bitching about how difficult it is to play on a keyboard.

Seems like avoiding spoilers on Tumblr wont be too hard, I can't stand sifting through *** fests over how unfair it is that PC players didn't get a super graphics upgrade option.

Yeah, i know the internet is filled with bitchfests about this, but it is a fact they did nothing to optimize the PC version. That's pretty sad :(
Oh well, loving this game! :D

From explicitly stated they had little to no idea how to port to a PC very well.

And I'm not really sure how a game that requires precise movements is supposed to work with the wasd or arrow keys.

I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing. Lol.

Got past the asylum and climbed up the little mountain to that first bonfire, and I've just been farming mobs and resetting them :<

You'll want to get familiar with Firelink Shrine (the place you're at now). It is the hub of the game connecting everything else with it. You have 3 paths to choose from when you first reach there, although only 1 of them is really intended for new players.

The "guide" you see next to the bonfire in full chainmail can explain a bit about where you are and certain tidbits. He doesn't repeat himself so pay attention to what he says from the start. NPC's explain a bit of the story of the game, and certain baddies roaming in the area. To the left of the guide NPC are some stairs and if you walk down them on the left wall is a prison cell type thing with a girl in it. She can't speak and the only thing you can do with her in the game is upgrade your estus flasks (your healing). Further down are more stairs, and an elevator that will take you to New Londo Ruins. At the start of the area are very easy enemies that aren't aggressive, but you do not want to go any further because that will change very suddenly. Something to note though, in this starting area is a blacksmith that specializes with mage class characters to make their weapon magic enchanted.

To the right of the guide NPC is a set of stairs, with two main paths. One of the paths has a pool, with a door opening to the left side to a graveyard. This area is too difficult for you right now. The other path leads to a cleric NPC, as well as an empty elevator shaft. You can drop down this to reach 4 chests, but to get out you drop down into the graveyard and have to escape back to the bonfire (or die trying). You can make suicide runs into the graveyard at this point to collect shinies and treasures. Further into the graveyard are the Catacombs, so keep that in mind for later.

Back at the guide, past the stairs to the right are stairs going up a hill with some weak enemies. This is your path. Make your way up the stairs and into the sewer with a rat to your left and a path to your right. Kill the rat for a chance at getting a item humanity, then get the shiny next to the rat. The other way has a locked door that you can open up later on, to the left of that door is the start of the undead burg, where you must explore and learn the game basics for yourself.

Enjoy the game :)
