Speaking of so many macros (yes I just shamelessly used that as a segue to my semi-unrelated question) is it relatively painless to use Spellcast for Snapshot gear swaps? I've been avoiding using Spellcast like the plague because it seems like learning how to use it/messing with XML would be a whole...thing. But on the other hand I'm kinda getting tired of having to hit two semi-precisely timed macros every single time I want to shoot a bullet.

As a gear-related side note, has it actually been proven that the AF2 + 2 hat provides a higher roll supercharge proc rate than the base hat? BG just says its 50% instead of the 33% the base gives but also says verification is needed on the 50%.

My /ra rule:
Code
        <!--Ranged Attack Rule-->
        <if spell="Ranged">
            <if EquipAmmo="$QDBullet">
                <addtochat>DANGER DANGER DANGER -- Attempting to fire QD Bullet on a regular shot, aborting</addtochat>
                <equip>
                    <ammo>remove</ammo>
                </equip>
                <cancelspell />
                <return />
            </if>
			<equip when="precast" set="Snapshot" />
			<midcastdelay delay=".7" />
			<aftercastdelay delay="5"/>
            <equip when="midcast" set="Ranged" />
        </if>

Sorry but like I said I've never really messed with SC so you lost me with the coding. Did you like, define "Snapshot" and "Ranged" as gear sets in another section of code? I'm just confused because it seems like the first occurance of "Ranged" is checking for a condition while the second one seems to be a gear set...just doesn't seem like you'd be able to call them the same thing.

So no one has any solid data about the AF2 + 2 hat supercharge proc rate vs. the base hat's? It's just that it's basically the deal breaker as to if I upgrade that or my RDM hat instead.

So I probably won't regret fully augmenting a surefire arquebus?

Unless you have the means to buy a Donderbuss. Alternatively you can wait for Skirmish 2 at the end of the month and make an augmented Hgafircian+1 which I would imagine would be on par with a midrange Surefire(speculation).

If all you are doing is spamming QD when the timer is up, then your highest DPS is with the max QD delay reduction. These are some numbers I posted in the Ranger /COR QD thread, so it was using Anni with D.Bullets, since that was the most available options at the time.

Bismarck.Snprphnx said: »
Here are a few sets thrown together for consideration
99 Annihalator [D:76] and Damascus Bullets [D:145] for damage: 221

============================================
Max damage per QD shot
ItemSet 298463
60 second timer
MAB +49 (perfect MAB+6 augment on the Bloody Legs)
AGI +43
Assuming a sch in party for storm spell and Obi forcing the weather and iridescence proc

[2(76+145) * 1(49/100)] * 1.15 (chatoyant staff) * 1.2 (weather/iridescence) = 907 per QD, every 60 secs

============================================

Combo Max QD with Bloody Mask and Mirke Wardecor with QD-5 each
ItemSet 298471
MAB +42 (+6 on Legs and +4 on body)
AGI +21
Quick Draw delay -10
[2(76+145) * 1(42/100)] * 1.15 (chatoyant staff) * 1.2 (weather/iridescence) = 865 per QD, every 50 secs

============================================

Hybrid Set using 3/5 Thaumas, Blood Mask, and Mirke Wardecors
ItemSet 298473
MAB +31
AGI +52
Quick Draw delay -10
[2(76+145) * 1(31/100)] * 1.15 (chatoyant staff) * 1.2 (weather/iridescence) = 798 per QD, every 50 secs

========================================
Hybrid set with 4/5 Thaumas and Mirke Wardecors
ItemSet 298477

MAB +37 (+4 on Mirke Wardecors)
AGI +71
Quick Draw delay -5

[2(76+145) * 1(37/100)] * 1.15 (chatoyant staff) * 1.2 (weather/iridescence) = 834 per QD, every 55 secs

======================================

Sorry if the math is off. I'm assuming Iridescence and weather are together in the same step.

Does all this look correct?

Can a cor use the toad gloves?
Atm im trying to improve my mab set for qd to use against naakuals. The kepri hands are out of my reach atm. Is there another glove that have mab aside kepri?

Thanks.
About legs, im working in the dessultor, but ive read different information in bg and wikia about crimson/blood cuisses augment. One says its mab/mdb and the other just say mdb. So whats the possible augment of those cuisses (nq and hq)?
Thanks.

Mab on w pants belong in the random pool augment, you can get as high as +6, but the chance of it happening are absymal, reason why about everyone of us gave up on it, absolutely not worth the money investment(even more considering that as soon as Peacekeepers rank up we'll have mab+15 pants just through bayld).

i'm excited for the 15mab pants, however I was always using af3+2 legs+feet for the triple QD damage proc since i'm addicted to spike damage.

It looks like if one uses QD recast on head/body, that's only leaving AF3+2 hands paired with boots for the triple QD set proc now if you want to get that +use the new 15mab pants.

I believe it's a 1% chance per piece? I don't know that I'd use a subpar option (AF3+2 pants or hands) over the new bayld pants or schutzen mittens for such a low proc rate.

If you really want that triple chance use hands and sacrifice the tp. Mab+15 is the biggest mab piece out of every damn slot.

I did math a long time ago, and general consensus in community at that time was 2 AF3+2 piece(legs+feet or hands+feet only) > no triple proc. 2 AF3+2 piece also > 3 or more AF3+2 pieces.

That was very long time ago though, you can get much better MAB pieces on hands/legs slot now, so I'm not really sure about now.

The advantage of using Schutzen mittens is very low though, especially if you're shooting for TP. Unless you're sitting at specific number of TP when you QD, it doesn't really make you WS faster, and you'd just sacrifice QD dmg for nothing.

Unless you're hardcore to a point to make specific TP set for specific amount of current TP, feet+ hands+2 is probably better choice.

Complete newb to COR here. I'm leveling the job to help my LS out since I'm DD only, but I'm just overwhelmed by the amount of sets on the first page...

What would I really need to focus on as a bare minimum playing COR as a support job? A Phantom Roll set, QD set, and WS?

Also is Leaden Salute a good enough WS to full time or do I really need to drop a merit to pick up Last Stand?

All ja specific gear(empy and relic+2 with augments, Luzaf's ring), maxed marks skill and at the very least a QD accuracy set. This would be the bare minimum, then depending on what your role in the runs is you might want to add mage gear and Last Stand, and then melee or shooting gear.

Leaden is not very good but it's workable.

WS set is not necessary if you're going to full support and help with cures. Most(but not all) NM I often got my hand full for cures/na/erase, put SS up before roll, deal with pt and roll rotate, counting haste duration, redo rolls on unlucky number, focus on reading NM TP move in chat log to -na as soon as it hits. There are only a few NMs(mostly 3 delve boss) that support and WS can be done at once.

Also it's possible to win without marksmanship skill, unless you're doing dispel too.

If you're going support I'd advice to bring haste and FC set for some NM, such as gnat. The amount of haste/-na/erase needed can get pretty overwhelming on it.

If you're going to DD, leaden salute wouldn't cut it in any way. All Gun magical WSs are pretty much dead atm. It's Last stand and req only atm in delve boss runs, depending on NM.

Delve fodder(too lazy to deal with acc issue on spreadsheet atm, so only used fodder to avoid it), min x2 and chaos.

/WAR last stand with RCB and donderbuss

/DNC last stand with sushi and surefire

Used Khepri in 1st set and Mani body in /2nd set because Mani body> Khepri when LS in 3~4k range, but Khepri body pulled ahead when it's over 6.6k.

/DNC req with pizza, chaos and DA roll

/WAR req with RCB

Used MND earring/ring over brutal/epona because it seems that MND ring/earring has higher number with DA roll up. Without DA roll should be brutal/epona.

/BLM leaden with 99 DP and squid

SS has no wizards roll/ADL ring, so I didn't use it. But using wizards isn't going to do a 4k WS. Using wizards also lowers DPS because you'd have to rotate more rolls. Other guns isn't getting 30% leaden boost like DP, and if you use DP you get resist.

Checking your jobs, you have MNK and THF leveled. If you have gears for those jobs you can just recycle gears if you're going DD, they're mostly the same.

I disagree, tried this approach last night in Morimar and was very happy with the results. Played /whm as requested by ls but kept regain as fourth roll and ws'd when I could(helped by QD tp gain) while maintaining rolls, hastes and throwing occasional erases. Was a most definetely refreshining way of playing compared to the boring full support. Reminded me of the old exp days as playstyle.

Oh I forgot about Whirlpool mask, it's better than Uk'uxkaj hat for req if attack not capped.

Support isn't boring ;;

It can be pretty challenging since almost every delve PUG I see ppl yelling for haste erase -na(and I'm pretty bad at it myself). IMO if erase/-na comes after DD finish typing "haste/na plz!" then it's fail support, since pt would lose DPS the moment para/stone/slow/plauge hits or haste wore. The longer DD linger in yellow HP, the more chance they'd die next sec or have to turtle and lose even more DPS. Strong support really increase ally DPS and shouldn't be look down upon IMO.

So been looking over my LS set I would assume the new bayld feet will be better that thaumas with the marks skill on surefire? atm for me the Delve boss equip is out of the picture due to shitty groups and my lack of play time when the good groups are shouting.

If you're meleeing for tp yes, not particularly to hold while staying at distance. It's also the most useful to mainhand for occasions when Requiescat becomes necessary over Last Stand(not many, but still useful).

+3 to all stats, +1 regen, +1wsd...whether it's worth it or not depends on you and your wallet, surely the hq would have a higher longevity but enough to warrant 150 mil or whatever it costs? Your call.

I was also wondering how much of a factor MACC is on Wildfire? Manibozho R15 Path B would yield +27 AGI for the feet slot but the guide has Shneddick Boots as BIS @ +19AGI +10MACCC. Thanks.

Depend on whether you have R15 on everything else and which path you're doing on mani body.

Unless you're capped R15 on every other slot and delve boss weapons, or doing path A on mani body, IMO it's not worth it. WF is pretty meh atm, and HQ jacket doesn't always beat Mani R15 Path B for last stand. The amount of gil you spend on getting HQ jacket you'd have much higher performance on getting R15 everything and craft weapon. The amount of extra racc on it doesn't worth the cost.

If you're doing path A for mani body it's a good body piece though.
