Alright, got a full copy but I know next to nothing about Steam. I hear bad things about it all the time >.> Anyway, I just need Steam to install it, right?
i love steam XD think people's only real problem with it is they have to be online to activate games... idk
anyway, yea you install steam then just buy it off steam. it downloads, hit play, BAM, terraria Started playing just an hour or so ago.... I feel so lost.
I also wish it had gamepad support, I'm not used to this keyboard/mouse stuff and I think my hands are going to fall off. Mine domain.

Steam has 137 hours clocked, for me.
This is a great game and I would recommend it.
But there is one big thing that I feel that I have to mention. This game has been abandoned by it's creators and they have moved on to other products. So don't expect any problems to ever get fixed. This is part of the problem with PC games. People expect PC games to give infinite updates to the game for free after they have paid for it. But without paid DLC, the devs often have no incentive to make more or better content or drag their feet. (LFD2 I'm looking at you!) But otherwise great game and if you don't look anything up on the wiki, you could easily put in 100 hours getting to the end of the game. I can breeze through all of the content in a few hours, but I'm insanely good at the game and know where to go. Lakshmi.Jesi said: » This is a great game and I would recommend it. I sat down to play for an hour last night around 8PM. Next time I look at the time its 4AM ._. After reading this thread the other day, I decided to play it since I had some free time. My friend had bought it for the both of us when it was released but we never figured out how to multiplayer so we never played it. I decided to play single player yesterday and I have about 20 hours already. I really love this game.
My question is, "What should I do now that I have the shadow armor?" I just tried Skeletron but he was whooping me and I fear trying again. Any suggestions? Lol goodluck in hell now that they patched it now hellstone drops a block of lava while you have micky mouse throwing fireballs at ya... anyways you should get the next upgrade in armor and weapons

yea molten gear would be one thing you could do before skeletron. although the skeleton is very possible with shadow gear, it just takes a lot of preparation with ranged weapons, setup land, and potions... lots of potions (for defence and other stuff).
but he is well worth beating, there is tons of stuff to get in the dungeon... so you can try for molten gear first but it may be much more difficult, the imps that throw fire balls can destroy you (plus all the other stuff). I got it working! :D This Grappling Hook is infinitely useful! Are there any mods for Terraria? Or patches to fix stupid stuff, like log out and log on at spawn instead of where you were last? grappling hooks are great XD and you can upgrade it later on.
first off, you can set a spawn point by creating a bed and putting it into a safe room (enclosed room with a door and back wall). you just click the bed and it sets spawn point. as far as mods. yea i believe there are a lot actually, mostly skin mods. should be able to find them on their main website forums... here it is. (btw, since it took me a while to find out XD. you can use wires to mess with anything that can be interacted with, like doors. you can also connect it to lights.) recently started playing terraria again due to this http://terraria.curseforge.com/maps/story-red-cloud/

Runtime Error: Access is Denied Yes, It runs as administrator. How to fix? .-. Instructions for installation if you didnt find. i think i had to install tconfig twice to actually get it to work
Following that link, I go up to Step #8 and it does not pop up with the Terraria Game Launcher GUI to do the rest of the steps.
I followed the directions exactly. .-.; if you followed the directions right and it doesnt work idk what to tell you honestly, it worked fine for me, maybe you missed something.

Lets try this again then. Copy/pasting instructions to NotePad, then deleting each step as I do it. Gave up on that for the time being. I got a few other maps that didnt require modding to kill time with :P
A Boy and His Hook is pretty fun :P Also on my single player toy around world I got the message: "A meteorite has landed!" Full Meteor Armor now! Woot~ |
