If cast on a White Mage who is under the effect of Afflatus Misery, Auspice also adds light damage to the White Mage's initial attacks (ie. if Dual Wielding this will only take effect on the main hand hit) and bestows an accuracy bonus when target is missed. The White Mage must remain under Afflatus Misery to retain this effect
Is this a bug? Am I the only one that noticed this? Wtf?
If it showhow overwrites the en-spell effects of non White Mages (with Misery on), then it would indeed be a bug. (can't say I actually tested that situation yet) I can however confirm that a WHM with Misery will get the enlight effect even if they haven't cast the Auspice themselves.
From a few test runs, I've seen my Auspice knocking off the Red Mages' Enspell 1s, but not Enspell 2s. It would make sense if it was knocking off my own enspells, but its knocking off my party members' enspells which leads me to get /wristslapped. I suppose this isn't really a huge deal considering they can just recast their Enspell 1s, but Auspice only lasts 2:30 and I'm constantly recasting it to keep my enlight up.
I'm pretty sure it's only for the WHM as far as getting the en-effect. I wouldn't think it goes over another party members en-spell, that's just silly. But if something makes sense, SE has to mess it up. So in all likelyhood it does go over other party member's en-spells.
In addition, I have noticed as SCH, my Accessioned Enspells will overwrite the effect of a DNCs samba. This happens because the Daze effect from the samba acts like an Enspell effect. As long as the effect hits the mob, all party members can drain HP/MP.
If doing an Accessioned Enspell, have the DNC remove the effect manually. This will keep the Daze effect on the mob, enabling all party members to do Enspell damage and absorb HP/MP.
