Yeah I'm not saying it's difficult (and really being an accountant has nothing to do with it), I've just always been good with numbers. Been handed many bills at restaurants and asked to split things or calculate tax off the top of my head (might be because my friends and family are math HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE).
Besides, most accountants have calculators at their desk anyway. Who really needs to know how to add, subtract, multiply, or divide?

I guess it just helps when you get the result and know it's not right, aka typos.
It appears to me the main issue, as stated in the report, is the fact she uses this alias to post offensive things which she would not say in public.
The liberal bias in these forums is disgusting. I am sure it would be ok for Paul Ryan to post how bored he was at work and would rather be in Vana'diel or Mitt Romney to play ffxi and post on forums calling gays *** because, well....
She also appears to refer to members of the Tea Party as, well, teabaggers.
so that came as big news to them that they are often called that?
So its acceptable, because they are often called it.
1. grow up.
2. it's not "liberal bias" it's that we're not all *** idiots, if that makes us lean against Republicans, well then that should speak for itself.
3. It's acceptable because it's mocking something that should be mocked, again grow up.
It is bias. You hold others accountable for things you would sweep under your rug, or allow your friends/idols to get away with.
So, peoples beliefs can be met with mockery whenever they are different than your own feelings. Ok, tell me how that isn't biased and how that is so democratic.
The teaparty movement has been peaceful, hasn't affected you in any way. Yet, you bash on it because the liberal media told you it is bad.
No I don't, and I can't say that I have any political idols.
No people's beliefs can always be met with mediocrity, especially when they're stupid, then they can also be met with ridicule and disgust.
Peaceful my ***, and it spreads stupidity and ignorance, not to mention is an insult to what it took it's name from. I bash on it because it's stupid.
Your last comment is also funny, and shows you know how to do nothing but ad-hominem, and attack others based upon your twisted world view, instead of actual facts.
Come back when you have something more than "liberal media bias" or "you hate us because we're different."
No. They are stupid because they are *** stupid, it's not that hard to comprehend.
Umm what? Reading comprehension, do you need it? (if you're referring to the other two things in that line, they weren't specifically addressed as they relied on your first comment, which I dismissed as stupidity).
I'm thinking of no such thing.
The idea that you just compared democratic policies as communist ideas shows your ignorance, and really that's all there is to say, I'm done.
.... I am sure it would be ok for Paul Ryan to post how bored he was at work and would rather be in Vana'diel ....
Actually Ryan tickles catfish as a sport / hobby (not a joke and both more dangerous and messy than MMOs). I am positive he posts in forums dealing with that subject. Posts that have nothing to do with his elected position.
Unless your bill ends up being some obscure number like 23.71. I'd be willing to bet a lot of people can't do the math in their head. Most can estimate though.
Auri far too many people cant even do 10% in their heads.
So, peoples beliefs can be met with mockery whenever they are different than your own feelings. Ok, tell me how that isn't biased and how that is so democratic....
Mockery AND derision. Not to mention spite, vitriol, and scorn. Its the American way. Just check out Fox.
Personally I prefer mockery and humor as done by Stewart and Colbert.
Its democratic because everyone can do it. Some people can do it on TV and I can't. Does that make it less democratic?
tediously dull, especially due to lack of meaning or sense; inane; pointless: a stupid party.
This is the best definition of "Stupid" i could find regarding the issue at hand.
If an act which is considered foolish or senseless, without meaning, and so forth occurs, it is typically considered stupid. Which fits the case in point.
Claiming liberal media bias simply because the points of the case has been pointed out, ignoring the facts, and then arguing between who is or isn't stupid, is rather foolish.
John Stewart, Steven Colbert, and their associating pundits such as Wyatt Cynac, Jason Jones and John Oliver, make a mockery of everything political because it's a form of extreme criticism for extremely stupid actions brought forth by the parties they mock. Mocking something completely asinine such as this newstory (if it can be considered news) is a good thing. Regardless of who *could* have been targeted, be it liberal, democrat, republican, libertarian or conservative, etc., the fact remains: It was foolish and senseless, nor had any meaning. Stupid.
Just because someone doesn't believe the same things as you, doesn't mean they should deal with hatred over it. But i guess the 'treat everyone equal' parade that supports the democratic party is ok with treating groups of people like ***, as long as they aren't gay or black.
I see the same people defending hate speech that cry against it elsewhere? Nope, no bias here whatsoever. Because teabagger isn't a disgusting term? In your eyes right? People are being flamed for their 'beliefs' and you support it.
Acknowledge you are bias for who can and cannot be oppressed and we can move on.
Again, it's not a matter of beliefs, it's a matter of logic vs beliefs, the fact that you can't fathom this simple construct is astounding. (To be fair, a lot of people can't).
But to equate a group of people who are there by choice (bad/misguided one mind you) to groups of people who are that way by birth is astoundingly asinine and bigoted and only shows your ignorance, I implore you to take a break and really sit there and think about what you said, from the ground up, logically and see your flaws, as sometimes when heated it's hard to reflect.
For emphasis: teabaggers are in that group by choice, not by birth, you don't have a right to not be ridiculed for bad choices.

THE LIBERAL MEDIA??????????????????????????????????
WHERE THE *** IS THE LIBERAL MEDIA??
SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME!
THE LIBERAL MEDIA??????????????????????????????????
WHERE THE *** IS THE LIBERAL MEDIA??
SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME!
Actually there IS a liberal media. It is mostly small magazines like The Nation or Mother Jones and weekly newspapers like the Seattle Stranger. Online The Huffington Post springs right to mind but nothing else does.
Daily newspapers, TV, radio, and cable stations, and most internet news outlets aren't a part.
lol. Most media outlets sway left. To disagree is naive or just wearing blinders.
Again, it comes down to, are we going to fight against hate of all kinds, or just limit it to those things you care about.
To me, teaching your kids its ok to hate and slander other people, 'teabaggers','libtards' etc. because they believe something different than you is no different than teaching racism or bigotry. No different at all.

Actually, they are vastly different. One difference that pops to mind is the ability change said point of criticism.
I can change my beliefs a lot more easily than I can change my DNA.
lol. Most media outlets sway left. To disagree is naive or just wearing blinders.
[citation plea--- hahaha, who am I kidding...
Equating political namecalling to racism is not only logically fallacious, it's insulting to anyone who has actually experienced real racism and oppression.
Not all sides, no. Hatred is a cultural constant right now, but groups that break away from cultural norm are not always subject to it. Perhaps Democrat and Republicans are, but that's what the system has boiled down to, and its only in the heavily polarized demographics. There's more fundamentally wrong with the system than name-calling - a deeper root of manipulation. The hate and the name-calling are just symptoms of much larger issues that go unaddressed.
Do have some insight into the alternate universe where George Bush somehow has to deal with the impending sequestration? The "well, if it was Bush" argument is not very compelling.
All mainstream and all report the same story. But yeah it's the media that's biased...
Edit: Anyway, these are all *** blogs (your links included). Blogs are probably the worst sources to cite as examples of bias because they're all basically commentary in the first place. And I would feel bad for anyone if their source for 'objective' news was blogs.
lol. Most media outlets sway left. To disagree is naive or just wearing blinders.
Again, it comes down to, are we going to fight against hate of all kinds, or just limit it to those things you care about.

People mock the tea party because they disagree with their worldview which is largely a throwback to an age where discrimination was far more potent and ingrained in society as it is today. This isn't to say that legitimate issues aren't raised by some members of the party but its all mired down in ignorance, hatred and ultimately regressive ideology.
When members of the Tea Party and republicans back hot button issues like slavery being beneficial to blacks, creationism trumping scientific inquiry, gays being a curse upon society, Abraham Lincoln being a Marxist or women needing to act in accordance with Biblical literalism you will get spirited pushback as what these issues amount to is hate speech.
You're protected by the law of the land but don't think people are going to sit back and accept what you're peddling. Thing is, I can mock your beliefs and assert my own as more useful to society and we can play this little game for all eternity but when legislation is being constructed to obstruct groups of people lead by members of the tea party then it's no longer merely ridicule and that is the reality of the Republican / Tea Party.
For all the smoke blown about SOCIALISM!! the real actions are being taken by the right to preserve their ideals via stripping rights. When it isn't gays, its women and when it isn't those two its minorities. The Phantom Obama who happens to be a Communist sympathizer who wants to turn us into Soviet Russia is nothing more than a boogeyman that simply isn't backed up by the facts.

no most media "swings" to the center but you're idea of the left is truly in the center as your "right" is so far off the edge to the right it's ridiculous.
No, we just fight the kinds that actually matter, which aren't subjective, like you seem to think they are.
It is OK to hate people who are purposefully ignorant, people who are bigots, and are outright ***. It's worlds different, and like I said before you seriously need to step back and rethink from the ground up your arguments, but I'm starting to think you're incapable of thinking critically.
Lol ok. Good luck explaining that to your 4 year old that's listening to you bash on people and learning from you.
Seriously? This is nonsense worthy of that stupid lady on "The Simpsons" that's always screaming: "What about the children!?!?!?!?!??!" I shudder to think about what kind of adult would be spawned from an environment where they were UNABLE to criticize......
Constructive criticism is one thing...
Spewing hateful remarks really only serves to bring us farther apart on our differences... It solves nothing other than maybe self gratification for "sticking it to em" for something one does or says... when you're trying to accomplish a goal or bring someone to "see the light" so to speak... calling them a retard or ignorant does nothing to help but only hurts the cause... that and you come off looking like a fool for having to resort to insults instead of relying on intelligent debate... whether you're right or wrong it just really doesn't help anything...
Again, YOU claim them to be stupid. So, if they don't agree with you they are bad, ok got it. .
Two conflicting viewpoints cannot, by definition, be correct.
Both of them could be wrong as well... both parties could be arguing equally foolish viewpoints... Nothing really says that one party has to be right lol...
Republicans out Democrat in 'World of Warcraft' witch hunt
Colleen
Colleen Lachowicz is a Democratic candidate running for State Senate in Main. She's also a level 85 Orc in the massively popular online game "World of Warcraft."
UPDATED - Colleen Lachowicz is a Democratic candidate running for State Senate in Maine. She's also a level 85 orc in the massively popular online game "World of Warcraft." And for that, the Republican party says she is unfit for office.
Maine's GOP has accused her of living a "bizarre double life" and set up a website meant to out Lachowicz's participation in the popular online game -- a game that currently boasts some 10 million players around the world.
Not only does the website show off a picture of the orc character she plays -- named Santiaga -- it also displays comments that have been dug up from online forums in which Lachowicz talks about her love of the (sometimes violent) game as well as her thoughts on various political topics.
Among the comments the website attributes to her:
"So I'm a level 68 orc rogue girl. I stab things . . . a lot. Who would have thought that a peace-lovin', social worker and democrat would enjoy that?!"
"I can kill stuff without going to jail. There are some days when this is more necessary than others."
"I'm so jealous! I wish I wasn't at work. I'd much rather be gaming with my guildies!"
She also appears to refer to members of the Tea Party as, well, teabaggers.
"In Colleen’s online fantasy world, she gets away with crude, vicious and violent comments like the ones below," reads the website. "Maine needs a State Senator that lives in the real world, not in Colleen’s fantasy world."

Colleen Lachowicz
Meanwhile, Maine's Republican Party has also sent out a press release titled: "Democratic Senate Candidate Colleen Lachowicz's Disturbing Alter-Ego Revealed" which accuses her of living a "time-consuming double life." The party has also sent out post cards that, like the website, put her "World of Warcraft" character on display and highlight her online comments.
UPDATE: I reached out to Lachowicz, and she sent the following statement:
“I think it's weird that I'm being targeted for playing online games. Apparently I'm in good company since there are 183 million other Americans who also enjoy online games. What's next? Will I be ostracized for playing Angry Birds or Words with Friends? If so, guilty as charged!"
And she went on to state, "What's really weird is that the Republicans are going after my hobbies instead of talking about their record while they've been running Augusta for the last two years. Instead of talking about what they're doing for Maine people, they're making fun of me for playing video games. Did you know that more people over the age of 50 play video games than under the age of 18? As a gamer, I'm in good company with folks like Jodie Foster, Vin Diesel, Mike Myers, and Robin Williams. Maybe it's the Republican Party that is out of touch."
In fact, it doesn't seem Lachowicz was trying to keep her "WoW" playing a secret. This Daily Koz World of Warcraft guild link introduces her as a candidate and spreads the fundraising word on her behalf. It reads:
One of our original founding members, Colleen Lachowicz, better known in the guild as Santiaga or Ralista, is running for the Maine State Senate. Colleen is a long time political activist and advocate for kids and health care. Also her DPS is amazing. Mainers will be fortunate indeed if she wins to have her in there fighting for education, kids, health care, jobs and the 99% against the one of the absolute worst of the Tea Party Wing Nut Governors which were inflicted upon us all in the 2010 election patch.
Meanwhile, "World of Warcraft" players are coming to Lachowicz's defense.
"I don't know that I'd agree with her political stances or that I would vote for based on her policies," writes one poster in the "WoW" forums. "That's not what this is about. What I do know is that using the fact that she plays World of Warcraft against her in a political campaign is absurdly pathetic ... I think it makes the person using it as a negative look petty and desperate."
