FF14

I find it extremely hard to play real video games on a PC. I've been raised on consoles, it's hard to play without one for me.

I dunno If i would be able to start over from scratch w/ a new character. It be real nice if they let you transfer your character from FFXI to FXIV, just make it like a normal world transfer.

***from FFXI simply will NOT work for FFXIV, so transferring gear will be useless.

They should just let them transfer it. Even charge for it.

Then you start the new game and it's all mannequin clothes LMAO.

But if they do that, SE has to copy all of the gear that's on FFXI, upgrade the graphics, and STILL have the tons of new armor from FFXIV. It's not even worth the effort/memory.

Tbh... I don't want to log into FFXIV and see people wearing SH's. I've seen too many already... X.X

They don't want to do that tho, they want completely new stuff in the game..

Might be nice for people that just recently started... But for those of us that have been playing for awhile... Stuff gets old. >.>

At the SE Press Q&A from E3 yesterday they said there is no Char transfers from 11. So stop asking and wishing for it cause it wont happen people.

Either start over brand new or don't play it.

would be cool if they let us have like a mannequin to have your old gear or somthing in the storage place for the old FFXI member though. somthing to kind show off to people that didn't play FFXI.

Seriously tho, saying "I want my FFXI character and gear transfered to FFXIV" Is like someone playing WoW that heres about this game and says "Whoa, when this game comes out i'm quiting WoW and going to FFXIV, but I want my WoW character and equipment to be transfered to FFXIV."

Looks like we won't be calling them EXP PT's anymore. I'm intrigued how they're going to do it now. Also looks like the weapons will be the main "factor" in determing combat style, rather than jobs. All sounds very interesting and curious.

Woody, do you have to keep linking to your own site? At least admit that it's your site if you're going to keep doing it instead of being Mr Anonymous Admin@, it looks very distrusting of the community you're trying to be a part of.

Something I thought was interesting from the interviews was the comments about they will continue to support FFXI and have content planned for the next year. Everyone does know that there are 2 more mini expansions due to come. First thing that comes to my mind is that the next 2 expansions will be 6 months apart from the first, so I'm thinking an October release followed by April for the third. One would think though that the announcement of FFXIV will actually decrease the amount of sales that those 2 expansions will get because people will be asking themselves the question, sure I enjoy the game and will continue to pay my monthly fee to play, but why pay for a new story that, based on prior experience of what most people thought a really bad expansion and the consideration of what is coming in FFXIII and FFXIV, just won't be worth the money. This will make SE more than likely think that it's just not worth developing for FFXI because it doesn't bring in the dollars. They may continue to support (read: maintain) but I doubt we'll see any further expansions.

I would like to see a weapon progression like Secret of Mana.

I like my idea on the growth system better than their 'reader speculation' anyway. lol
