Opening Play Online After 10 Hours

So, the problem is that whenever I shutdown in game and I don't open POL for about 10 hours, I get an error that says "Cannot open registry key for install path of PlayOnline-Compatible software. ID=1000." This happens twice in a row when I click okay then I get another prompt saying "Unable to start PlayOnline viewer. Please ensure that you are logged into your under and account with administrator rights." I've never had a problem opening POL before and I'm not sure what I did to mess it up. I usually have to restart my laptop to get it to work and even then it doesn't work sometimes. Anyone have a clue what's wrong?

can't tell if you even tried to reinstall pol but before you do, make sure to clean your registry after uninstall. i guess there might be some problematic registry entries left from an incomplete uninstall or something.

it sounds like the program isn't shutting down properly "hanging" and it can't write because it's in use.

ctrl+shift+esc for task manager without losing directx and check your process list.

HOLY CRAP! That's just so helpful for future references....no more deciding whether having to stay online is more important(If doing something and you can't find time to restart the game like dyna or another timed event) or forcing a d/c for task manager >.<

yeah, I got tired of it real quick when I started using 7.

It's such a pain in the *** lol, now I just open task manager before I even start up the game. Which I now don't have to do anymore :D

Right-click on the start bar is nice also.

start -> run -> taskmgr works too.
