now we need Kaerin or someone to step up and make the WAR guide!
lmfao

;; not sure why it's funny. If someone has better WAR sets on AH I'd be thrilled to get a link.
Will take all of 5 minutes to make any set you'd need.

I always assume these guides are written with players who don't play the job in mind. It's not hard to make gear sets for BLU if you have access to BGWiki and google, but Proth's guide does a fantastic job at showcasing the variety of sets that are needed if you have never played BLU (like I hadn't before reading his guide). Maybe you think it makes people lazy if they don't know how a jobs JAs/merits/whatever impact the sets they need, but I think having the nuances of a job laid out before you begin playing and gearing it makes the end result more enjoyable.

If I'm totally misinterpreting what you're getting at and you're actually LOLing at WAR or Kaerin, well, bummer.

Can definitely tell you haven't been around AH for long.

Well, I can't really speak to the accuracy of anyone's DD sets as I don't have heavy DD jobs geared, but I hope to see more of these guides, they make starting a new job much more enjoyable (if you're obsessed with preparation like I am).

Can you add /SCH to the list of subjobs? It is an extremely useful subjob in PVP. Urteil uses it to perfection. You should ask him for some of his sets (or just check his bounty thread) for those DRKs who want to be unstoppable.

Back to reading the rest of this. Have been a DRK since 2004, and liking this guide so far.

Edit: Ain't all 2 hour abilities only 1 hour now? I still can't get used to that.
Edit2: Never realized Scarlet Delirium was so bad. I guess I shall take it out of my macros. :(
Edit3: Absorb-TP is awesome on certain monsters who don't use TP moves, like Elementals.
Edit4: Missed out Abyssal Earring on Dark Magic set. Urteil has better magic sets here.

Dark Magic 503 with Merits

Drain/Aspir

Edit5: No Strigoi Ring in any of the Reso sets?

It seems Pyrosoul x2 is better than Pyrosoul + Strigoi due to 100% STR mod.

Oh wow, never knew about that cape. Striga crown I knew about though, but my interest in it waned when I saw it came from legion, lol. ><

Chuppo fits in great in Absorb - STR , espeically if you pair it with the rest of the black set/vicious mufflers set. Can get +45 str / average about 37 over 3/3.5 min or so cant remember the exact time but its baller, pair well with NV/DS as well.

As fas your TP/Embrava builds are concerned Im' assuming this is not with a 99 rag, because a few adjustments should be made, overall great pleaes for the newer Drks to start !

Thanks. I tried to keep things together, so I started with Weapons > TP > Weapon Skill > PDT > MDT > Dark Magic > Dread Spikes/HP > Extras.

I could label each one more, like having a Key to show which are low end gears, and which are the ones you really do want to get. If that would make it easier that is no problem.

Added borders to the table, to make it easier to read.

Going to add some other gear to the table. Nirastamo and Jingang Greatsword, and maybe some others.

Edit: Added Nirastamo and Jingang Greatsword
Added Bounty Sickle.
Added Mekira-oto and Mekira-oto +1
Added Grim Cuirass +1
Added Avant Gauntlets +1
Added Mekira Toshugai (As an alternative to Meikogai in PDT sets)
Added Fulad-Zereh (You never know. it might end up on AH one day)
Added Brego Gloves
Added Perle set (Because everyone has to start somewhere)
Added Dark Torque
Added Warwolf Belt
Added Vulcan's Ring

Here is the list of items I carry on DRK. Hoping to refine it if you have any feedback.

Puts me at 71/80, enough room for Meds(3-5 slots) and drops.

Vampiric mittens/Vampiric boots enhance drain/aspir. As far as I know there isn't a cap on the gear enhancements for these spells so those would be better for drain/aspir set provided you don't need a lot of macc.

Soil Gorget+Belt will cover Cata, Resolution, and Entropy. Will save you a few inventory there.

Which other buffs? Just having LR up doesn't change TP sets. LR+Haste+Marches or Embrava give DRK a ton of play room.

Yes I remember Urteil talking about these, but was missing one of them so didn't include in his set.

Set bonus scales with each piece you add. Usukane+1 set bonus adds 3% haste for 2 pieces.

What if it's 3% DA for 2 pieces, 6 for 3 etc?

Potential's door just opened.
So since that's out there now, how would Ares+1 factor into the equation? For Resolution, I would hope the Hands/Legs+1 would be nice, to take advantage of the Triple Attack from legs if fSTR/ACC/ATT is capped or something. Ares Body +1 would make nice for Regen/Refresh/Hybrid set too.

Added the Vampiric Set along with the Drain/Aspir set to interchange pieces with as a suggestion, btw.

Still don't know Ares' set bonus, and without store tp, I don't see it really replacing much of anything except hands and legs. I do use legs currently in my tp and aftermath sets already. Hands are already an upgrade when fSTR isn't capped anyways.

What do your TP sets look like with them look like, just out of curiosity? And I figure the hands are in there for Reso.
