Im sure if you went to choose it it would say.. choose which set: "cirque" .. and if it was a single item you'd choose which.. If it was the set "are you sure"?
...i think... would require actually picking the ticket to trade to the moogle however, forgoing any other rewards. would have to be someone who got it on a mule that they dont want the scythe or something on so they're not really losing anything by doing the experiment. full set of +1 is still pretty garbage but still, curiosity

The bonanza page says x8/10 though, does the moogle say 1? only reason i was unsure was, english says "choose one item" (which already makes no sense since it's 8 or 10 anyway), but Japanese, French, and German all translate into something more obtuse that could have been taken as full sets. it gives you w/e that piece requires so, in my instance 10x brd bodies coz i didnt want to enter abyssea for that nonsense
honestly for 1 piece it shoulda been at least +2, would almost be worth it to get bodies then if you're lazy gearing a mule or something and arent concerned with the scythe. still pretty dumb set of rewards to offer either way, rank 4 having cells would have been appropriate.

yeah that mule is only mage (and fishing) so really not concerned with scythe, seemed to me like the laziest solution to me like u said :)
prolly do the same if one of my mules has one tbh. saves me a few hours of seal farming and would never use the scythe on them

My whm account mules got 2 rank 4's , is bg wiki accurate on whats sendable within pol account? Looks like no blackbelt items or sea items are mailable :(
