Irrational or not could you at least answer the question. Could you survive throughout the event without 10 hp merits?

Generally yes, the key is, most of us have been in the red often enough when it matters that the idea of getting a .5% increase in dmg for even a 1% increase in risk is not worth it.

I am elvaan and am 15/15 hp merits.

As I said before if your not a War main, i would definitely consider getting the mp merits since your likely not on War when it matters.

I don't really understand what you're getting at here or how this is at all situational. You said yourself that you hit your PDT macros before TP moves or in dangerous moments. Everyone does when necessary (hopefully). The people with 10 HP merits will survive hits that are 200 damage greater than the ones you can survive.

Feel free to take the risk if it suits your fancy but don't try to pretend that it's situational since we are all hopefully using PDT at appropriate times.

Situational that your using 50% pdt all time, i was referring to the 200 hp value. I find myself in a 44% set for a majority of the games content that would requiring me using pdt in the first place ,wouldn't that lower the value of that 200 hp? Your argument seems to be the effectiveness of those 10 hp merits while i am bring up the question if you can survive without them. I have taken that risk for months now and i have yet to to think i needed hp merits. Can you point me in the direction of said mob that would put me in the risk your talking about?

No. The compression of HP makes the merits even more valuable.

While it's not entirely accurate, you could picture taking half the damage as effectively doubling your hp, and losing the equivalent of 400 hp under the effect of 50% PDT rather than 200.

Pulling this out of my ***, but if your DPS is 500 without ring and 503 with ring:

(500*60)(30)= 900000 DPS in a 30min event(legion)

(503*60)(30)= 905400 DPS

Dying due to not having HP merits would cost you 4min~, assuming average mix of arise, taking R1-3 and the delay to cast raise and accept.

(503*60)(4)= 120720 DPS

It would take roughly 22 Legion runs of not dying due to no HP merits in order to justify the ring, which I think most would agree they'd rather have the HP merits for overall utility on all jobs.

Call me old fashioned, but I genuinely thought that you can die even when the healer/stunner does nothing wrong. I was clearly mistaken, thank you for enlightening me.

Can anyone confirm this set being the best with Embrava up for both Restraint up/down? (Tyrant's even beats Oneiros!)

Excluding Legion tier stuff which needs a way more specialized set.

Ogiers gauntlets? Are you going for a five hit or something silly? I can't confirm anything anymore. I must be doing my math wrong on the sheets because I can't get anything to make sense with what everyone is now saying. So I'm just going to sit back and let you guys sort it out and stick with my phorcys Valkyrie set until a general consensus.

Also guys: Start looking at Letalis. It is baller.

what mob stats are you guys useing when you want to compare the sets for Legion? (for spreadsheet)

You just pick Ig Alima and give it some more Crit Def when needed or what do you change? I sometimes find it hard for me to find a winning setup (what is in my reach) when i want to check for Legion mobs. So knowing some mobs stats would help me figure it out :x

For legion stat, for wave 1/2 non mul, I use Qilin stat, for mul wave 2 I add 30% crit def, for wave 3 I use Ig Alima stat, but I feel like we do legion a different way than most (every?) NA group, We TP in hybrid set 99.9% of the times, and have buff/debuff cap acc/att and so on.

I have this set winning @500 embrava on pretty much everything I checked.

This set also has 1% more hp !(And it work for people with NQ phos belt only.)

With 500 'brava, berk, agg, hasso, haste, min x2, mad, fighter's, samurai, chaos I have this set winning, even with a 3/5/7/9 set bonus (Ccl's with Ares' +1 head over Phorcys head):

edit: and when you're comparing Legion tier ***how do you guys go about that? I've been using Ig-Alima as a target and throwing a ~40% crit. def. bonus on.

edit2: as far as rag sets go I still have the ones I posted on the last page winning.

edit3: seriously though, *** having different sets depending on your SCH's Enhancing skill...

Do you have sam roll on that set Registry ? I can't reproduce your result on that last set.

edit: nvm you do, just saw it, yeah mine were w/o sam roll.

Yes I do.

Berk, Agg, Hasso, Haste, Min x2, Mad, Fighter's, Chaos, Samurai, and 500 Embrava.

edit: way too early in the morning... No I did not have Samurai roll, but when I put a 30 STP Samurai roll the one I just posted is still winning.

edit2: Double checking here, do you have a 5% DA set bonus for 3 Ares' pieces or did you keep it at 3%?

edit3: This is why I don't do anything in the morning... I only checked Ig-Alima. Your's is winning regardless of Samurai roll or not on anything below Ig.

Actually even with sam roll set on 30 I have mine winning by like 1 dps, prolly just a different sam roll or ddex spot.

I won't go as far as making set depending on sam roll or not atm, maybe if game change and mythic start raining or something, but by all mean if you ussually have 2 cor when you have brava, I don't see any reason to not make them ^^.

Although you could, I'd have to agree that the marginal DPS upgrade just isn't worth the loss in HP merits.
