It's alright if you want to make Light instead of Darkness.

As an owner;

Base damage is too low, aftermath is garbage (for all nonpet mythics now due to excessive DA/TA/QA), SA/TA bonuses aren't good enough.

For certain fights that really emphasize SA and TA, like ones where you may need to run out (current Ambuscade?), or only last 20s~ at a time with some downtime, or simply the Erinys fight, Vajra is great. For general play it doesn't really get those benefits as strongly, and Aeneas and Twashtar both outperform it on the overall since their bonus' almost always apply to every WS. If you already have one made, it's good to finish upgrading to 119. But it's better to acquire Aeonic/Empyrean than make a fresh Mythic.

Switch to Ashita, no issues with same names in any slots. :D

Yeah but isn’t Ashita technically only on the same level as Spellcast? So unable to read/react to instant-cast swaps, etc?

And thanks, it’ll be an eye sore separating my rings so I’ll give the priority sets a go when I get home :)

....No lol, just because it uses XML doesn't mean it's last gen.

To my knowledge ashitacast is just as good as GS.

Which you can do by simply grabbing the base weapon and doing 250 ws points.

It’s my understanding that xml can’t handle packet reads directly and therefore suffers a slight lag. This would make it impossible to account for and miscast for rapid instances such as Instant casts or Rapid-Shots. But of course, people might not care about such things. Or has Ashitas xml been adapted somehow to account for this?

XML is just the method of declaring your settings. Ashitacast is coded in C++ and uses packets directly, it not only will always honor pre/midcast and pre/midranged, but does so even in circumstances where packets are heavily dropped such as Omen. In that sense, it handles those issues better than Gearswap.

Note that mistimed blood pacts are a seperate issue entirely and will effect ashitacast and gearswap equally if using stock settings, you need a delay based workaround to make them work reliably in instances.

Lies!
Deceptions!!

Lol that’s cool. I remembered there being some sort of inefficiency with xml had tha lua excelled at when Gearswap was being spearheaded but I can’t remember at all other than the packet reading.

But it’s good to know it works perfectly fine

This is just babble from people who have no idea what they are talking about.

Think of it like a car, Gearswap / Ashitacast is the engine. Gearswap takes gasoline(lua), Ashitacast takes diesel(xml), but how well the car drives is still going to come down to how well the engine was built and how well the driver is using it.

You could use all sorts of other input methods if you wanted and still have effective results. They only matter as far as how convenient they are to set up.

I always thought of it like mac vs pc.

Everyone uses pc, everyone "knows" pc is better, mac complicated as ***, need an engineering degree to use it properly.

Depending on your level of attack

(att capped)
Artful+1 (DEX+10)
-
Wanion (DEX+8 STR+8 AGI-5)
-
Grunfeld (DEX+5 STR+5 Att+20 Acc+10 DA+2%)
(low att)

Grunfeld's consistently solid overall. (If you account for the tp save fotia might probably technically win)

On the Vhajra comment:
It's good in situations where you're using mandalic for Light.
In modern ffxi this usually shines with SCing with GS Resolution, or Sword Savage blade.
Useful for Ou, parties with blus, (lolmeleerdms), drks, wars, runs

earlier on I got the advice to got for emp weapon and anoeic for thf
however, returning on a brand new character that is a lot of stuff to Do to get aenoic up and running and i was wondering what would be a nice in-between dagger to match with my emp dagger.

Currently, i just have iptam from skirmish and shark dagger with augments to to use with twatwasher

Should I grab mmandau as in-between to use with twatwasher (and does mandau give its +60 attack as offhand?)
or is there better daggers to get fast to pair up with twatwasher

AS someone with neither, but I do have perfect herc feet(15 dex, 30acc/30atk, 4 wsd) would you say even at current value they're worthless? since I"d need to spend 40m anyway to get lustratio leg/feet.

Someone that can get the sheet to actually run, can you run some numbers... I can't get apache to even load anymore to check myself.

Solo. Cornelia+haste2 125~mob acc capped

I want to know how much better the relic+3 feet w/ Hetaroi are than other options

Feet ring1 neck ammo and ear2 swappable
Assume a baseherc with nothing but TA4aug

Erudition Necklace, Ainia Collar, Dedition Earring, Brutal Earring, Cessance Earring, Ilabrat Ring, Yetshila+1

ItemSet 357459

(54 stp is the point where 1 hit is shaved off from 12+ws to 11+ws assuming 2hits from rudra)

And if you're feeling froggy, throw in /sam vs /war (no berserk)

Really? Even despite the sizable DEX difference (and assuming +1 leg/feet on Lustratio, 2% WSD difference)?

60dex 100att 11wsd 58str(herc feet 15dex 4wsd some att)

Could /potentially/ beat

91dex 38att 4WSD 47str

Yes

If I could get the *** spreadsheet to start working again I'd look for sure, apache won't open anymore and of the 1500 win10 apps none of the ones i've tried open

And if you have some disgusting DM aug like 10wsd on herc, absolutely

About legs, trading 23dex for 2wsdmg? at this cost? hell no.

Since you losing ws bonus set might aswell change feet too, herc dex/ws, this way you're gaining 6-7wsdmg and losing 35dex.

Is better than legs only but it probably ends up being a sidegrade, again factoring the cost...hell no.

Feet for tp on the other hand, sign me up.

I’ll take a look when I get home. But WSD carries a very great deal of weight with Rudras and similar WSs so it’s plausible. That’s still one hell of a DEX gap though

I don't know the rest of the setup you're using in the sheet, but in my SA Rudra's setup, I have:

Lustratio legs / feet +1 - 27,236

Relic Legs +3 / Perfect Herc feet - 27,837

Relic Legs +3 / Lustratio Feet +1 - 27,851

Unstacked I have the relic legs and herc feet winning.
