I'm just DA1 on everything, I'm not blowing gil on this stuff until I know if delve2 doesn't completely replace them all. I'm all for maxing gear, but all I do is delve bosses. More often than not I actually need acc/atk gear due to low buffs, so the investment doesn't seem worth it for a minor situational dps boost that is very likely to be crushed in a couple months.

With +35 Store TP, is the extra +3 from Hagneia Stone necessary to shave off a swing to 100% TP?

Hmm Ok i havent done any Tojil in a while, but atleast here (Cerberus) no group ever used Impact(On tojil), or only 4 Songs. Or Haste Samba. Normally they allways want Brds with 3/4 Songs so i think buffs are 2 March, 3 Minuet, 1-2 Madrigal and also there is allways 2 Geomancer, so atleast eva and def- boubles. And normally there is 1 DRG (who should have Af2 augmented Hands) for Angon. (+ the stuff your wrote without Impact and haste samba) and Dia..
Maybe those arent the average buffs aswell, but well.. more likely then your buffs. might try again to compare DA and crit with more buffs.

Can anyone explain why the 2 crit would beat 2 DA? Its been a while since i dealt w/ formulas, but crit adds 1 to wratio which caps at 3. If attack is being capped, you would only get a .75 boost after the h2h update. Going from 2->3 wratio would increase that hit by 50%. This happens on 2% of hits, so its a 1% increase in overall dmg before diminishing returns.
DA attacks have to go through another acc check. Assuming capped acc, this goes through 95% of the time. Adding another hit would obviously double that hit's dmg on average, a 100% increase. After acc check its a 95% increase. 2% on the armor peice, resulting in a 1.9% increase in overall damage before diminishing returns. And DA of course also increases WS frequency. Is there something i'm missing or incorrect on?

I found this to be true myself. In the max buff scenario (6+ songs, 4 rolls, max def. down effects, etc.) the DA augments were ahead. Drop the buffs to the level of just BRD and WHM and the crit rate set gains ground over the DA augments.

18% DA, 7% TA, and 4% QA, using the low acc gearset on first page.
So 4% will be QA hits, 7% of the remaining 96% are TA, which leaves 89.28% of hits for DA to proc on. Going from 18% DA -> 20% DA increasing DA rate from 16.07% to 17.856%, meaning those 2 DA actually give extra 1.786% hits.
So i guess the discrepancy comes from differences in atk/def ratio, and accuracy, since the lower accuracy would affect DA doubly of how it affects crit (since it needs to go through 2 checks instead of 1).

In your example, the compiled raw hits per round is 1.4151: Code 1 + 3*.04 + 2*(1 - 0.04)*0.07 + (1 - (0.04 + 0.07 - 0.04*0.07))*.18
Adding 2% DA raises this to 1.4329 for an increase in the top level hits/round multiplier of 1.25%. But that's still not including DA trait from /WAR and Fighter's Roll 10~20% DA from Fighter's Roll. If we assume only 10% from Fighter's Roll, average hits/round goes from 1.5936 to 1.611 for a 1.1% increase.

DA not affecting kicks is probably the main reason for crit to be > DA. It's mostly indepedent on the buff unless you are rocking 4 soul voiced minuets from gjallarhorn or something crazy.
The SS basically concludes that with 4 songs (marchesx2 and minuetsx2), and usual buffs and debuffs that the crit augments win over da wether impetus is up or down ar berserk is up or down.
With berserk, chaos, 3 minuets (soulvoiced with gjallahorn so you are looking at 2200 att on TP 2400 on ws, don't tell me it's low buffs), the crit build still wins. The setups I'm comparing are

Aye we are not swapping cors and what nots for tojil, just seems to waste time waiting on timers and easy enough with out all that, have been using impact on most mega NMs. I know some groups are balls to the walls max crazy buffs, but at this moment just spamming fast for points to finish getting everything and +2 for augs. So this would not be the case for every single set up, I ran a few sets though and DBL +2 and crit +2 even at capped attack and acc, the % of difference was not enough that if I got one or the other I would keep going on augs,

Are you using capped delay situations? If that is the case martial arts will only be a detriment after a certain point and only beneficial during hundred fists, although even that is limited. Basically the only gear worth using that enhanced martial arts for mnk is the af3+2 body and only because it also enhances impetus. It's not because its a bad thing in all situations but moreso that newer/other gear trumps it

I was trying to model belt options in low buff situations (haste + food only). Modelling Shaolin belt as a pure -10 delay (eg reduce weapons base delay by 10) seemed to indicate it was ahead of Windbuffet, which seemed odd. Was trying to get sanity on exactly what was being modeled.
This is with 25% haste in other slots.

Tati earrings would be the best on the other end of the spectrum but seeing as they have limited use/inventory space plays a roll, in low buff situations bladeborn + mermans because I have them on me.

Tho tbh its a 8 hit WS so the 8DA will prolly do nothing and neither will the 8 acc if you dont need it. So the 6 attack wins i guess for a total of 14 attack with bladeborn. But there are better options then merman's ofc and bladeborn but it saves inv and is situationally better then fulltiming blade+steel.

Looking at the shijin sets on the first page and I have a couple of questions...
Firstly, regarding Feet slot.
Otronif over Manibozho in all sets. I can see this when acc isn't an issue, but for higher ACC sets, they're still there.
for the waist slot, 8dex is being swapped out for 15acc/atk/1DA, but on the feet slot, 4dex isn't being swapped out for 22atk/10acc/2DA
If you have crit augments on Otronif, would manibozho be better regardless? (not sure of dex vs DA tradeoff)
Secondly, body:
If acc/attack is a non-issue, would Toci's be better? 3DA vs 2 DEX
is STR relevant to shijin? I know it's not really for melee...
Thirdly,
if STR isn't very important for shijin, would Asperity Neck be better than justicar? (2DA vs 4str/7str)
Totalled up, you get: 7DA for the price of 6dex, 13str and some acc/attack...
