Since you don't have Toci's, Ocelomeh harness might be a decent place holder until you can, and if you're Strapped for cash, Dux scale mail isn't a horrible piece either.

Have only done some quick mental math and a basic evaluation so far, but pending availability of DEF down effects gsword rankings should look like this:
1) DEF down Tenebreuse 2) STR/ATK Tenebreuse 3) Hatzoaar Sword +1 4) Borealis 5) Hatzoaar Sword Axes are easier, NQ/HQ crafted only real good options. PDT- Tene comes out on top? I'd imagine that's ranked for tanking, enduring damage.
