Might as well explain all the items, because I am bored lfp.
Guitar is me messing around with Newtek Lightwave (3d animation/modeling program), which I haven't touched in ages >_>

I usually use three monitors but my second videocard crapped out on me so i'm down to two at the moment.

It's a bit plain and i planned to design it further.

I like these threads, fun to see everyone's setup and originality (or lack of lol).

Windows Sidebar kinda pisses me off because the program is never sure where it should be. Sometimes it's on top of the windows, sometimes it sits below them all, it likes to randomly hide, or not start at all.

The only other main one I know of is Yahoo Widgets. It's kinda chintzy, but you can always set things to be in a certain place, choose exactly where and how it displays, and it's always there. Not this hide and seek BS like with Windows Sidebar. :P

Anyone know of another widgety thing for Windows, or should I just wait to see what Win7 has to offer? :P

Windows 7 looks damn nice too, I love how Clinpachi has all his program shortcuts set-up in the little fold-out lists. I set up an array of shortcuts on my desktop, which keeps things fairly well organised (most of the clutter on my desktop is just random .jpgs), but when I'm saving or opening a file to/from desktop from within a program, I have all those extra folders and stuff that I need to go through, so I'd love a way to have all of those visible from the desktop without actually being on the desktop.

In Win7, the whole damn desktop is the Sidebar... They did away with the docking area, (or I can't find it in the GUI settings interface >.>) I thought that was cool.

Same in regards to the shortcuts. Initially I was more distracted by the little elfs hiding in the corner and the Tri-Ace badge. lol Not super crazy about the taskbars being on either side, but I guess for dual-monitor setup it's more preferable than one massive bar across the bottom. My best solution turned out to be just using a docking program for shortcuts to hide away all in one nice row, and get rid of everything else on the taskbar. I ended up using both for some reason, but it's still pleasant. Plus Rocketdock has "activity indicators" to remind of what's running. lol

I use Samurize. It works great and you can customize it to do just about anything you want. If you aren't tech-savvy enough to customize it there are a lot of great pre-made packages to download/install.
