I always like to be optimist about these kinds of things, but after dealing with my last ex and now this one, I'm noticing a familiar trend. Pisses me off that they want to be childish about things, but eh.

Wait...Didn't you two part ways because her father was putting pressure on her? Why is she pissed?
Well, it got more complicated. She was talking with my brother's wife on FB because her father apparently was monitoring hers and deleting any comments I made towards her. But allegedly when they were talking (before our breakup was official) she said something along the lines of, "Next time I'm only going out with a Christian." That and apparently she wanted permission to have sex with someone besides me, as long as she told me, which is completely different from her attitude towards me in the past. So, seeing all these things she was telling my sister-in-law, I just said *** it and then told her to tell my gf at the time that it was over. I mean, she already pretty much planned on getting rid of me, anyway. I guess she was too much of a wuss to pull the trigger or something.

It's seriously making me think that before I go out with someone that they have to be Atheist. Buuuuuuuut, that goes against my own beliefs (belief in human rights, not in a higher being), so instead I'll just prefer that they have religious (or lack thereof) tolerance.

It really depends... if it was a mutual break up then it's probably possible... I've seen it where one couple breaks up and she starts dating the guys friend and they still go out and hang and all that...

my wife went to christian schools & such. we never had any problems.

(I believe in the dharma, but haven't been practicing in years, so idk what that makes me, outside of an ***)

My point exactly. I'm not that kind of person. I accept people regardless of class, race, creed, etc. Just like in your case, I know I can have a healthy relationship with someone who happens to be a Christian as long as it's not the thing we base our relationship on. Every day I was with her, she'd always start freaking out because I didn't believe in a god (and to a lesser extent because I'm a Democrat and an Obama supporter). At first I thought that we could look past that, but she never dropped it. Not once.

/nod. I undestand having urges and wanting that sense of excitement of getting to "know" someone new, but i think if you REALLY love someone then that's something that you should only share with them. It's a powerful emotional and physical connection, not something to go passing around like a flier. I know when i experienced it with another person after me and my ex broke i felt a huge break inside me, actually made me cry tbh. /Shrug, i believe it was the connection breaking but thats me.

The way I look at it... it's better that it came out early... some people just don't mesh no matter how badly one or the other wants it too... if they want multiple lovers I'd be glad they came out and asked me about it sooner than later so I could know that I shouldn't waste any more time on the relationship...
