Now, by eating out, that isn't going to pick up a kebab or a slice of pizza and a coke(about 5-10USD/person), but sitting down at a cafe or restaurant.
That was the distinction that had me confused.

Personally, I'd rather stay in and cook a nice meal for friends than go out and drop $30-40 in exchange for being surrounded by strangers while we're at it. So more "formal" (mileage may vary) dining isn't especially important to me.

I just couldn't imagine people cooking all their food at home. I do that by choice, but many lack either the ability, the drive, or the time.

Most of the time people cook at home. Work/home life is different here.

Or I should say they eat at home. Not necessarily a full cooked meal.

I'm totally going to show up over there one day.

that's now on the list of things to do.

1.) buy a sailboat.

2.) learn to sail.

3.) assuming I survive items 1 & 2, show up in denmark.

Sure, but let's not pretend that bachelors (and whatever the equivalent word for a single woman would be) don't exist who could find a way to burn a microwave container of ramen. For me, grabbing a snack at --insert name of fast food place here-- happens maybe once every 3 months, but I have plenty of friends who would risk starvation if their significant other couldn't cook (several of my ex-boyfriends, come to think of it) or cheap food options closed down.

hunger is a hell of a motivator, they'd figure it out.

Sure, because a telecom in Denmark or France or what have you only needs to cover a rather small space. The monolithic, exploitative telecoms we have in the US are partially a result of it being nearly impossible to build a competing infrastructure to serve one of the largest continuous nations on the planet.

I always think of irritating girls about to get married and flaunting that fact in the middle of my gay dance club, so I kind of hate that word. On top of them being obnoxious and female, they appear to not understand that we're one of the few remaining states where their drunken *** can get hitched in half an hour's time while all the hot men around them are left adrift.

Not that the average barely-21 twink idiot is worrying about getting married, mind you.

I found that a tad annoying. The attitude behind it. "Let's go to South Congress and dance at all the gay bars!" There's a weird level of undeserved stereotyping. If I find it grating, I can't imagine how annoying it is to gay men.

It's one thing if you're invited by a gay friend, but it's another thing to make it a novelty, you know? When some friends or acquaintances have worn that mentality on their sleeve in gay bars, it makes you a little uncomfortable and unwelcome seeing some of the expressions from the gents that are around.

Little awkward. I don't know how to really explain it.

Do they have a family plan and do they have coverage in the US?

Followup question: If you have a family plan, what's your stance on adding a line?

One more question: What's your stance on adoption? Specifically, an older child. Like, way older. Already house broken.

Only caller pays. No real idea about family plans.
I think we'll be hitting our quota for children this summer, but better luck next reincarnation!

I don't think it was Aesop, but it may have been based on it.

It was a fairly modern children's book 24 years ago
