Trying to tone it down a little this year, but that just means I'll only buy like 20 games by the time it's over, not 40. I've been playing Dex though, which I happened across on GOG, and I'm really liking it. It's scratching exactly the itch I had regarding a side-scrolling RPG-element game. It's outstanding.

I'm cautiously optimistic for a good weekend. Though the forecast may preclude building my firepit. That's okay, it can wait until next paycheck and I'll get something else done inside this weekend. Yes, I know I've used the word burning, however, I saw the Warcraft movie last night so that seemed fitting for today. I enjoyed the movie overall. I think the only disappointment I had was the fact that they mentioned the Laughing Skull clan, you saw some Laughing Skull members, but you didn't get to see/hear them do any of the ridiculousness they do. Is it so difficult to ask for a single, "Burn the bodies and keep the skulls."? Also the lack of mention of the Warsong clan despite their OBVIOUS involvement was a little odd. TL;DR: Nerd stuff.

One of my co-workers is British, and has been living/working in Denmark for about 13 years now. He walked around today with a sign which read "Jeg taler dansk" (I speak Danish).
Since it was the end of the day on Friday, I asked if he was ready to pull a Brexit. "This may be horrible now, but you are the one that will have to live with Trump". Touché.

Sort of a weird one for me. Got a few things accomplished, finished playing through Dex (solid game if you've got 15 hours to kill on a bit of a graphically-nostalgic cyberpunk side-scrolling RPG). Played DOOM a bit. It's really *** sweet and feels true to the heart of oldschool DOOM, which does my aging gamer heart good, though it's also hard for me to play in anything but short sessions for reasons I'm not really sure on. It could just be my attention span this weekend was ***. Also picked up Gauntlet Legends (grade: Meh. Good time waster, nothing more). Victor Vran (seems legit enough, if not genre-breaking, but didn't get to give it much time). Also picked up L.A. Noire which I'm really looking forward to playing, but haven't broken into yet. In the world of not-video-games, did a few more little things around the lawn, assembled a headboard for the bedroom, grilled some killer steaks and had a bit of tasty Tennessee Whisky. All that said, I feel like I didn't accomplish as much as I could and it's all a bit fuzzy, and not in the traditional "that's because of the whisky" kind of way. Ah well. Weekend grade: 7/10, would do again.

Morning Pianists.
I trust your weekends were grand. My weekend was a bit less gaming than usual: Friday: Played some WoW, LoL, and Divinity. Saturday: Family reunion. Weather was perfect, food was great. Afterwards played some WoW then LoL while unleashing the Kraken. Sunday: Celtic Fling Festival. Fortunate with weather again. Was fun, good food, good beer, good music. Watched some Highland games which were pretty awesome. Tried Haggis, I enjoyed it would definitely eat again. After, watched the first 90 minutes of Argentina v Chile. The first half was ridiculous, the second half wasn't too exciting. But that's about it. We should all be upset with Ramy for not inviting us over for his famous killer steaks.
