so left saturday morning, we picked up grandma and my uncle, crossed the border and headed down south, taking a coastal route, and around midway trough we took an ascending route inland, along the edge of some small mountains.
About 5-10 mins into this 2-laner road, we come about an incoming cyclist, and this truck tried to get ahead of them using our lane, in a blind curve, barely managing to get out of the way.
*** ***.
we arrived to this restaurant, had a late breakfast, dropped uncle and grandma at their hotel, then we went to ours.
we arrived at the church 30 mins before the appointed time, wedding was supposed to start at 5pm, but it was still locked and closed. the priest had the key, so people... the groom and family. decorators, musicians, photographers, guests showed up.... and the priest arrived 10 mins late...about 10 more mins of setup and the wedding was underway.
after that we headed toward the reception. a small building for these kinds of events on top of a small hill, surrounded by grape plants, we stayed in the lobby, and about one hour and 6 sangrias later, we where lead toward our tables.
I dont know if I was supposed to be annoyed or grateful that, my family and grandma got to share a table with some random people, while the rest of the family (except the family of the groom) got sat down in their own table, a little more VIP ish.
4 sangrias later, they start serving food, paired with 2 cups of Ruby Cabernett. after dinner and desert, 3 more sangrias.
tried straight rum, but didnt even finish my cup of it.
grandma was dozing off and I was bored, so we took her to her room and then we went to our hotel where I just passed out.
morning after, saw the World Cup :zzzz: on a restaurant at the hotel where everyone but us stayed. ate some cereal. game ended, went home....
....but we took a detour and went south instead, and arrived to Ensenada, port town, and we had a proper seafood and beer lunch, then a 3hr drive back home.
