I was kind of disapointed with this new ability, as we already have aura steal on a 5 minutes timer.

Until I tried and stole Mighty strike from a moblin in limbus.

So we can now steal any 1 hour abilities that are not instant like benediction or astral flow (from mobs).
Need some testing in PvP :)

Now thieves can hundred fists, manafont(lol) or even soul voice !

Have you stolen crazy effects yet ? Please post your testings.

Oooh, I thought I had read something about Larceny not working on other SP effects. :o Always nice to have an extra option for shutting down enemy Chainspell/Invincible/PD/HF/etc. :D

Any idea if it prioritizes SP over less desirable buffs ?

I can't tell if SP are stolen over other buffs but we can always aura steal first to minimize chances of stealing undesired buff.

too bad we can't steal instant sp. I'd love to see my thf with a dragoon pet :)

i am still working on getting my charecter back after getting hacked so i cant play i am just woundering do the new 1hr share a recast with the old 1hr abilitys?

No it doesn't. You can use both at the same time.

There was a translation error in the North American update notes on Monday that you might be getting that information from. The NA notes had it listed that SP abilities couldn't be stolen with Larceny, when in reality the notes should have said that new SP abilities couldn't be stolen, leaving the old ones able to be stolen.

ya SP over others buff, I tested it w/ Kur, btw thf hundred fist, is so fun lol

I remember in the notes a long time ago they said SP will take priority when using the ability. I believe the only non-instant SP you can't steal is the SAM 2 hour. Said something about that JA working differently for mobs

I can think of pulling a monk beastman near a nm ??? in dynamis, have it hundred fists with a ws and steal it before poping the nm.

New ADL Strat, yea ! :)

Well, if you can transfer the stolen effect to another person, then yeah, it would work.

Hundred Fists Mighty Strikes WAR/SAM...

Mighty Strikes Hundred Fists MNK/WAR...

Hundred Fists Blood Weapon Souleater DRK/WAR...

Mighty Strikes or Hundred Fists NIN/WAR...

The possibilities are endless...

Hundred fists is actually worse than marches without having martial arts traits as far as I know.

I think martial arts has nothing to do with hundred fists.(still puts you at 80% haste) I remember long time ago, doing a low level SE event where you needed to kill things in ronfaure with a level 1 GKatana and a horrible delay. Monks with hundred fists were swinging this GK like mad.

But then again, I was only joking. I can't see this being a viable strat :)

Fun thing to try at best.

I thought Hundred Fists adds its delay reduction and then applies Martial Arts after the fact, ignoring the usual cap. So an interesting question would be whether or not Dual Wield could replace Martial Arts for thieves who steal from monks! ...and whether or not we could get them to let us squeeze into our augmented melee hose +2 for the steal. ;]

Edit: ah never mind then, had it backwards.
