Damascene Cloth, What Is Up With That?

I was surprised to find Damascene Cloth among the 2,000-point prizes in the Repeat Login Campaign No. 6, why waste your points on an item that is only 3k gil on the AH, right? Then I noticed the AH price has gone up to 400k on Ragnarok! Odd enough, the AH prices for Vermillion & Royal Cloak and Royal Bed do not reflect this. FFXIclopedia nor BGwiki mention any new use for Damascene Cloth. So, what is up with that?

Its used for the new 109 AF legs upgrade but ya 2kpts for a 3k item i dont think so lol unless the price goes up.

also supply, sky pops are no longer available as they were before.

Wasn't this dropping left and right in VW though?

Price went up because its in high demand. It is needed to upgrade AF armor.

Could have something to do with the fact no onem in the right mind buys gear 30~99 when exping anymore so Vermy Cloak will always be cheap as chips :P

and what the other guy said about AF upgrades.

Necro bumping the crap out of this thread but I don't wanna make a new one...

Anyone know the most efficient way to farm these? I got Vermy Cloak x24 on my roll for the stage 3 shield and I'm having trouble locating the supply necessary for making the cloaks.

Any help is appreciated.
