He is a demon, but for instance, Hamanoa doesn't work on him.

Probably similar to elementals, which are actually arcana that don't receive a majority of the benefits that you'd be able to reap on normal arcana. same for umbrils.

my "definition" of the phenomenon:

Quote:
Special Correlation = a correlation that receives damage bonuses via correlation, but does not trigger Killer effects nor activates Circle/Sigil bonuses. So far it's Elementals, Pixies, and Umbrils, I suspect there's others. Odds are they stuck the mobs that they couldn't or didn't want to come up with a family for into the a dummy ecosystem (Arcana), rather than making a neutral family or new ecosystems altogether. The only way to find these mobs is via BLU spells, I suspect that it's either a bug that BLU spell correlation still works or that they were just too lazy to make a bit of code that turns that off with the rest of the correlation mechanics.

Cibitshavore(Bow): DMG:261 Delay:600 AGI+3 Ranged Accuracy+6 Archery skill +242

Without augments, and parameters I have on my RNG spreadsheet, this bow will be roughly equivalent to Namas Arrow on Uncapped R. attack situations using Apex Arrow. (Used Tojil parameters as the model). Namas still beats Apex on capped r.attack (All other models).

I'll be testing this one out this week. Spreadsheet data seems to cap apex attack boost to 10% r.attack which I'm sure is not the case.

How does new bow 5/5 Apex compare to Overwhelmed Fudo/Shoha with Koga?

Roughly how much does Apex lose to Namas with capped Rattack

~500-700 damage per WS depending on the mob. (no inherent +DT weaknesses)

Citing myself a few months back, even with the weaker base damage Yoichi, Apex was already beating overwhelmed Fudo (not Koga specific------> we really need bow WS's in SAM spreadsheet)

Sorry I wasn't particularly clear, is that 500-700 damage difference with Yoichi for Apex or with the new bow?

Yoichi using Namas vs Cibitshavore using Apex Arrow

Figured this is the best comparison. Basically this:

1. If you're using a Yoichi, still use it at will.
2. If you don't have a Yoichi, use Cibishavore with Apex Arrow 5/5. You will perform well when r.attack is not capped but you will still lose to Yoichi if r.attack is capped.

....3: Testing whether it's possible to do well with KogaAM3 + Apex again!. I'm waiting for information on what the augments will be.

Yeah, I used 6 +2's but I think it's technically supposed to be 5 +2's and like 44 +1's. The decision that they gave me were:

A) STR, R.attack, ???
B) AGI, R.acc, ???
C) STR, R.acc ???

This was a really hard decision. I was tempted to take B because Apex's mod is AGI but R.attack was hard to pass up.

That bow is win. 119 accuracy, +DMG, AND 12 STR.

Paeapua looks nice, depending on buffs.

(Deleted, miscalculation because missed bow in WS set, but fixed!)

But repeat post because the question is still relevant! (And it seems this is the best way to test anyway)

While testing Lentus, we must know whether it rounds up or rounds down. at a delay of 450*1.05, we get a value of 472.5. Is this 472 or 473?

Gear TP: 68
WS TP: 28

If Delay:
472: 5 hit
473: 4 hit

Result: 99 TP. Lentus gets rounded down to 472 or remains a decimal at 472.5. Sorry for the mistake!

While your set work, it would work either with 472 or 473 delay if you tp in 72 stp; and shouldn't work if 71; unless there is no flooring on tp calculation based on delay wich would be odd.

Or I could simply fail at math!

Yep it does! (It would be if I used sakonji +1 body which we can't get yet). Which is how I got to this gem of a situation!

So Anahera Blade would be 518.7 or 519 with Lentus...what do I get with Gear stp at 64 ?

(I'm on a phone about to go eat dinner and watch a play so no time for ffxi maths)

Or is it always going to be a 4hit?

Edit: hoping there is a magical 33.4/hit set somewhere out there.

Yep it does, but sakonji +1 body doesn't exist yet!

So we don't know if grip floor :( Make a set to find that gdi :x (I get the same tp no matter if it's 472 or 473 don't think there is a wpn delay where we could figure it out :( )

The higher the delay, the greater the difference, right, aren't there some 580-ish delay scythes?

ItemSet 266064

ItemSet 274964

These sets are 4 hitting just fine for me.

26.3 tp/hit. 21.1 tp return from WS. 26.3 * 3 = 78.9 + 21.1 = 100.

Bismarck.Keityan said: »

If 472:
WS TP: 20.2
TP: 26.5
RESULT: 99.7 TP

If 473:
WS TP: 20.3
TP: 26.6
RESULT: 100.1

What are you WSing in for such low TP returns?

Someone caught me on -->STP+21, my WS part of my equation didn't include the bow, so the WS set was 7 STP off. I'm going to repeat the test anyway to figure out exactly how it is floored anyway at 68 STP.

Fixed post here:
http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/41903/bushido-the-way-of-the-samurai-a-guide-v-20/11/#2580773

If 472.5 did actually exists, I tried it with a set that has:
Gear STP: 70
WS STP: 23

If 472.5 really did exist, it would make this a 4 hit. If not, it is a 5 hit, thus it would be 472 delay.

Result: 99 TP at the end, it must be rounded down. so 450*1.05=472.5-> rounded down to 472.

Decimals does not exist for weapon values when calculated with Lentus. (Another test should probably be tested with something with a greater delay. No idea if 999*1.05 delay caps at 999....)

Just did Xaddi Gauntlets path C:

Airlixir +2:
#1: Accuracy only
#2: Accuracy +9
#3: Accuracy +11, Store TP+1, Double Attack +1 (Rank 11)

Was checking whether there was going to be some weaponskill damage hidden in some of these. Guess not!

I wish there was more posts of the stages so we can extrapolate how much STP and DA we'd get. Based on my previous experience, I'm at least sure that it will be:

Accuracy+15, STP+3, DA+3?
Edit:
Visual siting (from WAR forum)
Accuracy+15, STP+3, DA+2

Did Xaddi Gauntlets path B:

Airlixir +2:
#1: HP + Accuracy
#2: HP+27, Accuracy +9
#3: HP+33, Accuracy +11, Physical Damage taken -1 (Rank 11)

Seems like all of Xaddi Gauntlet augments are dead ends for SAM
