both maps done, I know its not great, its better then running into dead ends every other hallway lol

So I am guessing after doing this, you have to drop down the Entwined Roots to level 2 clear the colonization reive to move to a different area then use 1 of the 3 Vertical Transfer Devices to go back up into a new area that is blocked off.

I find strange is that one of the Vertical Transfer Devices on the lower floor is marked to go down, probably for later content!

Anyhow I hate this zone so good luck lol.
