I'm sure the mexicans are excited about it! Wait do I have to construct the wall even though I'm a US born citizen? Trump assumes all us Mexicans aren't born here I swear.

Either way I don't remember in what thread I said it, but the average citizen doesn't do backgroud checks on politicians like some of you guys here like to do, which means all these "scandals" about Clinton are probably either unknown or obscure. Oh, I'm pretty sure everyone in America has heard about Clinton and her email server/Benghazi/Clinton Foundation issues.
These aren't exactly background checks if they are open and highly published to the public....
The average citizen probably doesn't know half the stuff these guys even intend to do - or what it would mean economically for that matter. We call those people "independent voters"
I said this before too but people who look into politics aren't that many Maybe 10 years ago, but that's not really the case anymore.
When it's a popular topic in grocery stores, you know that politics is being discussed around the nation at a regular basis.
You can blame the 24 hr news cycle for that.
Why else is Fox News the highest rated news source in the nation?

I'm no oracle, but I think Clinton is going to win Trust me, you need your oracle adjusted if you think Clinton is going to win.
The momentum is towards the right in America. You wouldn't see that if you stick with liberal-leaning media sources, but if you go by actual results, you would see more people not buying into the liberal *** displayed at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue every day.
But you wouldn't know that, being that you never once set foot in America. So, why should we listen to you?
I'm quoting this for later. You are dead wrong, of course.

Stop global warming?
End crony capitalism?
Create your utopia?

If Clinton wins, I'm going to move out of the country and live somewhere nicer. I hear Serbia is making a comeback with all those Chinese investments now.

Just notClinton has to win. I don't think Trump will cause too many problems or even be able to do most of the stuff he's pandering about. If the Simpsons are any indicator however, Trump will bankrupt the country and the next president will be Lisa.

Nope, I remember it, because my blue state elected a Republican governor. The turnout was terrible for Dems. Do you think the liberal turnout will be terrible in 2016? If you are banking on that, you will be disappointed. This is another historic election.

If Trump wins, that's a signal for more trolls to try... Well I wanted Paul (even donated :/ ). Walker would have been ok. But now, it seems like Rubio is the only one who can defeat Clinton according to the polls. Rubio is ok I guess. Better than Cruz or Christie.
Trump's numbers are higher than a stoner at the pot palace though. It's all fun and games until the primaries.

But then again, when the liberals see him as a threat, some false story will come out just to demean him. You know, character assassination. It happened many times before....

I can't imagine Hillary winning though. Another democrat seems unlikely, especially with the conservative shift going on.

There's a nationalist shift, there's also a populist shift. I'm curious why you think either of those are "conservative".

Because you're the only person who thinks your definition of conservative is the only one that exists?

Yeah. I think a lot of liberal voters are just too lazy to get out to vote for local office, state office, and Congressional seats. We'll turn out in 2016 though, even though Hillary isn't nearly as exciting of a candidate as Obama was.

It's a cycle that's been going on for the past 30 years at least. GOP is in control, they make one too many mistakes. Democrats slowly take over, then they do the same thing more or less. GOP then gains control again. And Repeat.

If Hillary gets elected she will set the dangerous precedent of women wanting to be president...
The last thing we need is women in politics.
Random Politics & Religion is for topics that aren't thread worthy on their own and do not have their own existing thread.
Rules and Guidelines
Forum Rules and P&R Section Guidelines still apply.
Satire is tolerated.
If your topic covers a story over 6 months old (Watergate, Benghazi, 2012 Election, etc.) post it here.
Discussions on racism, homophobia, transphobia, and the like are allowed, targeted insults based on these will not be tolerated.
Political debates get heated and are meant to be intense, if you take offense to being called or proven wrong, you don't belong here.
If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen; if you prove you can't handle the criticism you bring upon yourself in this thread, you may be removed from it. You are responsible for what you post.
Along those lines, heat is fine, but sustained, clearly personal hostility is not okay. The personal attack rules still apply. Attack positions, not posters. Failure to adhere to this will result in your removal from the thread.
