If I recall correctly Obama won a Nobel Peace prize for drone strikes in Syria !

-Obamacare expands the availability of prepackaged care from the insurance companies, its basically medicare you buy into under the guise of something else.
-Poverty hasnt rapidly increased, nor is it getting anywhere near "High as possible".
- The DEFICIT is high, the DEBT is manageable at best. (These are not the same thing)
- No one is taking away your guns, instead they are making it harder to get guns so you dont go shooting up places.
-Welfare is a small portion of an already working populace. The Welfare Queen is a grossly misrepresented statistic.
-Common Core doesnt teach you WHAT to think, it teaches you HOW to think. IT also creates standardized education, which all in all is not a bad thing seeing as how different parts of the country dont learn at the same rate or to the same extent as others.
-base ideal in the constitution, Public institutions cannot by law show support to any one religion. HOWEVER, if the state wishes to they can make displays for ALL religions as long as one is not given preference over the other.
-Inequality has been a thing forever in this country: Trying to curb it isnt new lol.
this is why little facebook infographics are the death of logical thinking. They come in a nice little package and if anyone disagrees with you they just cant stand that the "Facts" beat them when in fact if you put a little effort into your Google searches youll find that none of that in any way holds up.

When you are MADE to buy insurance or your fined...thats a difference.

This is long.. Sorry been gone all day.
You posting a sentence followed by the word "fact" doesn't make it actual fact. Of course you will challenge everyone to "prove you wrong" despite the fact that you have offered zero proof of you being "right."
You mean I can't do exactly what you do?
On 5 out of 7 points I did prove that Altima was correct. Thanks.
Then again, Vic does the exact same thing, makes broad statements, doesn't back them up with sources, and demands people to "prove him wrong."
So, can we call him a hypocrite? Sure. So is Altima. Please don't.. I occasionally do back things I say up. I have never in my years of posting here, ever seen vic do it.
I'm not saying Altima was wrong. My new sig.. If we had them.. ROOKS!
ACA is not government controlled health care. Close enough is not fact. Odd, Fairly certain millions of people just payed a fine to the GOVERNMENT for not having it.
Poverty increased compared to... what? Is this a percentage increase? Your link's data is 6 years old but it's showing a decline since the 50s that eventually reaches a baseline level around 12-13%. So.. It is increasing.. Thanks..
I couldn't find anything in that welfare history link that supports a recent increase Record amount of people are on welfare/medicaid/food stamps. Do you not google? This stuff isn't "free"
There's still a long way to go from those "facts" and the creation of a socialist state so at least we can partly agree that graphic is crap. Sure, Vote for Sanders, I'm sure everything will turn out fine.
- No one is taking away your guns, instead they are making it harder to get guns so you dont go shooting up places. LOL
Common Core doesnt teach you WHAT to think, it teaches you HOW to think. I actually have no problem with common core math. At least for now. Common core history is misinformation to say the least.
this is why little facebook infographics are the death of logical thinking. It just got a debate going on here didn't it?

So.. It is increasing.. Thanks.. No, but you're welcome.
Saying a "record amount of people" is meaningless unless you control for population increases. Don't ask me to research your claims.

I have to agree with Altima that core history is misinformation in the US classrooms. Many states have different versions of history being taught, some with history books that haven't been updated or made to be historically accurate in close to 60 years.
So many students are learning different versions of history.

Ignoring that there's no readily available source attributed to that data, a trend line through that graph would have pretty much no slope. I could just as easily say that poverty has been on a slight decline since 2010.

Quote: Obama Breaks 38 Year Record! 93,671,000 Americans Are NOT Working…Most Since 1977
A record average of 93,671,000 Americans 16 or older did not participate in the nation’s labor force in calendar year 2015, and the average labor force participation rate was 62.7 percent, a 38-year low, according to data released Friday from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

On top of the massive life tax from the ACA Obama also wants more taxes on oil.
Quote: Obama told Georgetown University students in a 2011 speech that “rising prices at the pump affect everybody – workers, farmers, truck drivers, restaurant owners, students who are lucky enough to have a car.”
…
“Businesses see rising prices at the pump hurt their bottom line,” Obama warned in 2011. “Families feel the pinch when they fill up their tank. And for Americans that are already struggling to get by, a hike in gas prices really makes their lives that much harder. It hurts.”
Quote: In case you missed it, Obama just proposed raising the gas tax to what would amount to 136%.
By proposing a $10 per barrel tax on every barrel of oil produced in the U.S., Obama wants to add a 25 cent gas tax on every gallon of gas you purchase at the pump. He wants to use it to pay for his green transportation initiatives.
Considering federal gas tax is 18.4 cents a gallon currently, this would mean a whopping 136% increase. When state taxes are considered, we will be paying 70 cents in tax on every gallon of gas.
That covers everything except religion and education. Which I'm not getting into. Have fun not proving me wrong.

We can easily support a temporary gas tax right now, I am paying around $1.40, I am thrilled with it and would be equally fine with $1.60 if it means billions of dollars of revenue. That needs to happen soon.
By Altimaomega 2016-02-09 01:21:21
And you're naive enough to think gas is going to stay this low and when it goes up believe they will take the tax away.
/inserthystericallaughterhere..
Oh look the world doesn't revolve around vic.. $2.34 for some people.

As much as there are possible benefits to a gas tax, there are just as many pitfalls. Particularly since crude oil is not a readily renewable resource.
25 cents a gallon may not seem like much, but to families on low or limited income, it means a lot.
And as necessary as greener technology becomes, I think if the gas tax *is* implemented, it should first go to reducing the deficit, since it would be a federal tax.
Unfortunately, the government runs off of collecting taxes.
And honestly... 2.34 for a gallon of gas is extremely cheap compared to Canadian prices... where we have paid up to $1.36 per liter (Quarts for you Americans) despite having more oil production, and an excess of it, which is then shipped and sold to other countries.

As the most powerful nation on Earth, it's our duty to finish what we started and bring democracy to the people of North Korea. Kim, I'm putting you on watch. If elected as President, your days would be numbered. Your defeat would be swift and resounding.... We split N and S Korea to prevent demoracy, not to bring it.
Ehh? That's not what happened at all.
The person who actually drew the line on the map was a junior military office responsible for putting together a basic plan for the invasion of Japan. The Russians were going to move into the northern half of the peninsula and work with their guerrilla contacts there, lead by MAJ Kim Il Sung to push the Japanese out. The US forces would move into the southern half and do the same. Both sides would gather their forces and when the operation was executed both would invade Japan from their western coastline. That operation never happened as Japan surrendered to the allies.
Afterwards the allies gathered and said "ok lets put into effect that plan we all had for giving the nations back to their original owners". The Russians said "well about that plan, we decided it wasn't such a good idea and therefor declare ourselves the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics". Everyone went "WTF" but it was too late as the Russians spent the last moments of the war ensuring they had complete control over those territories they had captured from Germany and Japan. Remember the Korean peninsula had been a Japanese colony for several decades prior to the end of WW2.
The leader of the Korean guerrilla forces in the north, MAJ Kim Il Sung, was chosen by the Russians to lead lead their fledgling communist Korea. The Southern part elected a democratic government, though to be fair only the affluent even bothered to vote. Things lasted like that for a few years until Kim Il Sung was able to convince his Russian and Chinese allies that he could defeat the weak and ineffectual South Korean government before the US had time to deploy and come to their aid. His attempt to do this began the Korean war, which nearly worked as his forced made it all the way down to the Pusan Perimeter, which my city of Daegu happened to be part of. We still have the ruins from the fighting emplacements here. The remaining allied forces were able to hold out long enough for the US Military to mobilize and start landing in Pusan in large enough quantities to reinforce and then later push back. They pushed all the way into deep North Korea almost to the Chinese border. MacArthur discovered that the North Korean military was being supplied primarily from bases in China and frequently requested the authorization to attack them, he was denied for obvious reasons. Eventually the Allied forces had pushed the North Koreans too hard and the Chinese came to their aid by sending hundreds of thousands of Chinese troops, in DPRK uniforms, south. They pushed the Allied forces all the way out of North Korea but couldn't push them past the original border. Both sides were deeply entrenched.
Then there was a cease fire. Both sides just stopped shooting, dug in deeper and it's been that way ever since.
At a later date a South Korean president did declare martial law and become a dictator for a short period, but that's a different story for a different time. Park Chung-hee has a weird sort of legacy, on one hand he is considered the person responsible for the rapid industrialization of South Korea that brought them from an agricultural economy to a industrial one within a single generation. On the other he was a brutal authoritarian dictator who didn't really give a damn what other people wanted. His daughter Park Geun-hye is the current South Korea President.

25 cents a gallon may not seem like much, but to families on low or limited income, it means a lot. Since people around here can't do math.
.25 x 20gal = $5 x 2 fill ups a week = 10 x month $40 x year =$480 a year tax X couple = $960 a year tax X teenagers drivers in household = $1440 A YEAR IN TAX.. That is being Conservative with numbers as well. It more than likely will cost way more.
Add that to the ACA tax and you're looking at literally thousands of dollars in taxes ON THE MIDDLE CLASS AND POOR that didn't exists before Obama was president.
Keep voting Democrat. smh..
