I posted this a while back, but this bears repeating:

At least 11/13/2013, oldest I find it on YouTube at a glance.

I stand corrected.

I stand corrected. That image more accurately describes the Pacific islands, places like Micronesia and Samoa.

Do you think President Obama yelled 'Allah Albar' as he blew up the Keystone Pipeline? Good for him not caving to the special interests known as the will of the American people.

A good elected representative will do what is good for the people, not what they want.
In this case, he did just that.

Because, you know, the only jobs that exist in your reality are permanent ones.

Took 7 weeks to send a temporary jobs bill to Obama, took an hour to shred it and no one blinked.

Anyone that makes the absurd argument against the pipeline as such the jobs are not permanent, makes the argument right then and there against every stimulus package and every infrastructure project which also only privide temporary jobs.
i say solar panels because the left wing lunatics that want to cut off all fossil furks poste hadte and immediately transition to 100% renewable do not chip in right here, right now buy purchading solar panels or ekectric cars.

Count for what? Putting money in the pockets of Americans that are willing to work for it? Yes.

Since you only addressed my spelling I appreciate that you agreed with my arguments.

It's not really about the grammar Nazi thing. I just know Amand can do better than that in terms of spelling.
Not saying it takes away from his argument at all.

Hardly. Infrastructure funding provides a permanent benefit to the country. A foreign pipeline designed to sell foreign oil in foreign markets does not do this.

Nobody is advocating anything close to that and you know it. And you have no idea what I do to support renewable energy.

I'm actually on the fence about the pipeline thing, because there are positives and negatives to it.
But in regards to the statement following - that's quite a hyperbolic statement to make.
Using solar panels and other "green" technologies saves money and creates longer term jobs, but the downside is that many companies are hesitant to invest in such technologies, because it means they have to hire new workers, or retrain older ones. And many companies are adverse to investing in their employees for greater lengths of time than is necessary, and is the reason for high turnover rates in various industries.
The green technology companies are in it for the long haul though, because whether you believe in Global Warming or not, creating more energy and cost efficient products should be the way to go.

All the oil passing through the pipeline should and would be taxed. It would be huge revenue indefinitely.

Hell I recycled a soda can once did I green energy correctly ! If you turned it in for the nickel/dime, whatever it's worth in the US, then... no.
If you used it to make a potato peeler, then maybe.

Phoenix.Amandarius said: »All the oil passing through the pipeline should and would be taxed. It would be huge revenue indefinitely. While it's easy to say it should be taxed, it wouldn't be due to the trade agreement with Canada.
The reason I'm on the fence about this is because while the oil sales would benefit Canada, it would only benefit the US very little. You would have only temporary work available, which in some cases is better than no work, it poses other problems, and I can see why proposal was struck down.
The benefits gained from the size of the project is minimal at best, and any argument to support it, would actually be favoring Canadian markets in reality as a cheap, easy, and quick way to sell oil through the US, but also while posing problems to current municipalities it would travel through. Not to mention the US would then be liable to shipper and receiver if something happened to the product while in transit, because of the US's involvement in the pipeline.
