I'm not sure it's entirely old age's fault... I was borderline mentally HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE in the first place...
on the mentally HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE side of the border...
getting older certainly hasn't helped any...
but I'm pretty sure I was a jerk before now...
I could go ask a few people if you need a citation...

Like Iraq and Syria?
They were once sovereign nations. One was outright invaded, the other was 'toppled' by sending in rebels who now called themselves IS.

I've supported isolationist policies for as long as I can remember. That's the diplomatic version of "but Jimmy did it, too!" Once again, shifting the onus to someone else to absolve a party of guilt. Putin chose to take actions that brought a reaction from other countries, it's as simple as that.

Well at least the fact that I'm going blind will only make me sitting on the porch with a shotgun when my daughter goes to prom will be that much more terrifying brings me comfort lol

No it's not as simple as wiping your hands clean of the mess just because you believe in one policy, but your country carries out the opposite.
As a superpower, you set a global precedent as well.
You're basically saying "I can do that, but you can't do that cause I said so." Which sounds about right.

I have a friend from high school who had kids after school that are now in high school.
I get very angry with her sometimes. Who the hell has children intentionally immediately out of high school!?

I'm not responsible for the decisions my government makes unless I vote for people who make those decisions. I've exclusively voted for people who support isolationism. I don't agree that America set any precedent, either, we might be the most frequent abuser in recent memory, but we hardly started or perfected the trend.

On the subject of the Ukraine one of the better pieces I've read was from someone trying to remain impartial on the topic and they brought up many very valid views re: Russia and the fact Russia has very legitimate reasons for their actions that aren't really that shady.
Of course, when they start whipping up the us-against-the-world anti-West rhetoric machine, it gets harder and harder to try to be sympathetic.
Of course, that was also before the pretty shady shooting death of one of Putin's biggest detractors...

Or Russian state media suggesting it was perpetrated by US spies to stir up anti-Putin unrest...

Or Russian state media suggesting it was perpetrated by US spies to stir up anti-Putin unrest...
They also suggested it could be related to Islamist extremists.
And let's be honest.
It could be either of those things. I could be an independant act by a group who thinks to gain favor either with Putin directly or due to continued conflict.
Or it could be exactly what it looks like, another of Putin's political or media adversaries meeting an untimely demise.
Will we ever know? Probably not for sure. Any conclusion will be questioned regardless of what it is. On some level it doesn't even matter, because regardless, someone is going to use it to their advantage whether they were the ones who perpetuated it or not.

You're just jealous you missed out KN. Not really.
Anywho, I was backreading for some lulz, and I noticed that quite a few of flower-head's videos were deleted, either by YouTube banning the account, or just removing the video due to inflammatory and libel remarks.
Here's a post now.

It's clearly the illuminati who took care of them. Couldn't be, it was the illuminati who created those videos in the first place.
The government is out to silence everyone and put them in FEMA camps!

Man, the amount of conspiracy would skyrocket overnight if Lilly Clinton were to be elected....Bilderberg group is already considered the Illuminati covenant! As a person who commonly reads this stuff for entertainment I can tell you she has been targeted as one of the illuminati heads for a long time. We only need her to have us presidency and people all over the world will lose their minds.

We all know KN runs a FEMA camp. He's one of them! I don't care if you call me a communist, racist, sexist, conspiracy nut, late for dinner, pervert, a liability, or whatnot.
But when you call me a government worker, that's where I draw the line!

Learn to read.
Random Politics & Religion is for topics that aren't thread worthy on their own and do not have their own existing thread.
Rules and Guidelines
Forum Rules and P&R Section Guidelines still apply.
Satire is tolerated.
If your topic covers a story over 6 months old (Watergate, Benghazi, 2012 Election, etc.) post it here.
Discussions on racism, homophobia, transphobia, and the like are allowed, targeted insults based on these will not be tolerated.
Political debates get heated and are meant to be intense, if you take offense to being called or proven wrong, you don't belong here.
If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen; if you prove you can't handle the criticism you bring upon yourself in this thread, you may be removed from it. You are responsible for what you post.
Along those lines, heat is fine, but sustained, clearly personal hostility is not okay. The personal attack rules still apply. Attack positions, not posters. Failure to adhere to this will result in your removal from the thread.
This thread is NOT the Flame Core.
These rules are subject to change and modification where and when needed.
Random Politics & Religion may be mained or demained depending on the activity within at a Moderator's discretion.
With that out of the way, let the debates begin!
