That is my biggest problem with Facebook now is that for a social network posting random ***doesn't seem very social.

I rarely chat with anyone on Facebook.

How abuot every letter of every word is a glittery emoticon?

I despise facebook. It's all about people putting themselves on display like mannequins in a shop, or using statuses for passive-aggressive communication.

The White House tonight is calling for an end to the use on LGBT youth of “conversion” therapy, a technique used by some mental health providers to try to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity.

“This administration supports efforts to ban the use of conversion therapy for minors,” Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to President Obama, wrote in a post on the White House website tonight.

“The overwhelming scientific evidence demonstrates that conversion therapy, especially when it is practiced on young people, is neither medically nor ethically appropriate and can cause substantial harm,” Jarrett wrote.

The post came in response to a petition on WhiteHouse.gov calling for a ban on “conversion therapy” after the suicide of a 17-year-old transgender youth named Leelah Alcorn. Alcorn wrote a suicide note and posted it to Tumblr before walking in front of a semi-truck, ending her life.

“Leelah explained how her parents had forced her to attend conversion therapy, pulled her out of school and isolated her in an attempt to change her identity,” the petition read.

“Often this practice is used on minors, who lack the legal authority to make their own medical and mental health decisions,” Jarrett wrote in a post alongside the petition Wednesday night. “We share your concern about its potentially devastating effects on the lives of transgender as well as gay, lesbian, bisexual and *** youth.”

More than 120,000 people have signed onto the petition.

I just link the Onion, make witty responses to things people think are serious bsns, link youtube and dump pictures.

For me it is littered with pictures of dogs and babies.

I love getting into family arguments and taking them down off my Facebook when I post my political and religious stances.

Stay off the internet old folks, you have no power here.

The last thing I would want is to be friends with family members...

Take the only rational action. Delete your facebook account.

Have you ever tried to delete your Facebook it is quite the ordeal...easier to just not log on.

Ha! I personally relish going to the comment sections of stories with ridiculously radical politics.

The mods should somehow incorporate that XKCD in the the P&R section.

The only time I ever see anything political is when Presidential elections come around.

And with Hillary coming up in 2016 I'm sure to see a bunch of interesting comments.

I've got two friends from college that pump it out pretty frequently. One conservative, one liberal. I occasionally toss them a comment.

I shy away from politics on FB these days, though I will repost the science vs. pseudoscience nonsense, because science.

I seriously wish the "Food Babe" would *** go away.

A few weeks ago you didn't like it when an 11 or 12 year old dressed up as a fictional character from a book you didn't like because that character was bad....or a predator.

But a toddler dressed up as fictional predator from horror films is ok?

Some stupid *** who uses scientific words entirely wrong and has an "army" (as they call themselves) of followers who believe her perpetual ***. She's basically to food what Jenny McCarthy is to vaccines, but even worse.

That kid looks scared of himself.

(But really, I wanted like, a Chibi predator from deviantart or something, but that was the first thing I could find on Google image search and my desire to amuse people overrides almost anything else.)

Late edit: Also, the Predator is portrayed as a bad guy in the first movie, and in the second movie it's clarified that the human-hunting "predator"s are bad/criminal and their race has their own good guys, too. So he could be dressed as a good guy!
