I think it's time that we reinstitute the draft. Not for military service, mind you, but for presidential candidates. Random schmoes would probably make a better field than most of what we're getting on both sides so far.

Sure, there is no personal attack here but the trolling attempt by antagonizing/baiting Jet to respond to KN in a certain way is against the rules. This is after the countless times I've told KingNobody to leave Jet alone which it seems he just can't resist. Therefore, he was 'rubber stamped'.
Jet's response to any conflicting opinion is "harassment" because it's easier for him than addressing the argument that was made. I can pick out 30 posts with similar tone made this week that weren't against Jet, should I be reporting all of those?

There's a lot of antagonizing that goes on around here and it's splitting hairs to pick apart when the basic argumentative antagonizing ends and the harassment begins.

Frankly we should all probably be less dickish with our accusations of various things, but I just don't see that happening any time soon because of internet anonymity and the male ego.

If they are breaking the rules, yes.

Can you be specific on what warranted the ban here? I'm not trying to fight you on this, but the post in question seemed rather tame and looked more like a case of twitchy trigger finger report abuse.

Can this be taken to mean using hyperbole about someone's behavior is breaking the rules? If not, what's special about this situation that makes it a violation?

You've said 'the trolling attempt by antagonizing/baiting Jet to respond to KN in a certain way', but you didn't explain what 'a certain way' is or why a post that's clearly satirical in nature is suddenly an offense?

I'd be interested in knowing who put the ban through, too. Was it you? We've been promised an improvement in moderation and transparency was suggested. It seems like that was nothing more than lip service atm.

I had a thought...if the union ever did break up, how do you think it'd play out? I think it'd be more like multiple states joining other groups, in order to better trade supplies together, but I can tell you that a lot of people would try to buddy up with Kentucky.

Do you know the complete history of said two individuals behind the scenes? No, you do not.
Have you dealt with both individuals fighting a useless opinionated battle that led to numerous insults of each other? No, you have not.

The 'certain way' would be unnecessary bickering back and forth. If you really can't understand this maybe you really should drop it.

KN was antagonizing Jet into a response, in order to cause unnecessary drama over a disagreement in opinions.

By union, you mean the US? Probably lots of wars/fighting. I'm not sure I can point to many points in history where a quick dissolution from a relatively centralized power was able to be performed without a large amount of strife/discord in the subsequent decades.

He was told to leave him alone and stop tying to get Jet to respond to him. He did not follow. Therefore, intentional ignoring a Mods agreement made with him.

The 'certain way' would be unnecessary bickering back and forth. If you really can't understand this maybe you really should drop it.

It's not a complicated concept. Please point to the rule that was broken, so that your users can more easily follow it in the future. Who the people are has no relevance, if their posts are within the guidelines it sure seems like bias to ban them for it. Differing of opinion and subsequent arguments happen multiple times a page in every politics thread, and pretty much everyone who posts regularly has used an inflammatory 'tone' at times(except maybe Kara).

Asking me to drop it because you're uncomfortable justifying your/Terra's actions is pretty unfair.

Quote:
KN was antagonizing Jet into a response, in order to cause unnecessary drama over a disagreement in opinions.
The same could be said of literally half of the posts in politics/religion. If a post doesn't merit a response or cause disagreement, it's not bringing anything worthwhile to the discussion. I can't see how it was 'in order to cause unnecessary drama'.

Jet is an adult, if he can't control his reactions to a post that was neither a personal insult nor a deliberate troll, shouldn't that be his problem? If neither of them broke the rules, it's just censorship for the sake of censorship. Many users enjoy reading P&R discussion.

Proving my point of needing Kentucky, being the place Fort Knox is at, meaning precious metals which can in turn be used for trading to other countries for needed things can't be obtained naturally by the person with he gold.

I'll take that to mean this post was you stating the rule:

Quote:
Do you know the complete history of said two individuals behind the scenes? No, you do not.
Amounts to nothing. You can't disallow behavior based on history, if it's ok for anyone else it's ok for them.

Quote:
Have you dealt with both individuals fighting a useless opinionated battle that led to numerous insults of each other? No, you have not.
Amounts to nothing. Citing history to try to change the topic.

Quote:

'unnecessary bickering back and forth' is vague at best. Again, you can go into any politics and religion thread and find back-and-forths between regular posters. Many of them last for over a page. No vulgar language or personal insults were used, so it amounts to a censorship of opinion.

So, having a relatively civil discussion between 2 people is no longer allowed? What am I missing here? Nothing you've said seems to cover it, besides you holding past experiences against them.

You don't really *need* a place that just has a stockpile of something. You just need that stockpile.

But the fiscal implications of a collapsed or dissolved US would be globally catastrophic.
