Is it possible to add a state in function user setup for acc ready? or how do you guys handle multiple physical ready sets?

It's definitely using the MAB pieces I set for the skills compared to the +attack stuff I have set.
Thanks for checking, Mithlas. You're right - it seems that the correct spell name is sent sometime after the /bstpet command is issued. By the time pet_midcast rolls around, it knows whether you're doing Tail Blow or Fireball, etc.
When debugging, I couldn't get the spell.prefix to display "/bstpet" (/pet, etc showed up fine) so not entirely sure that the command was added to the Windower resources. Maybe there's some alternative way to pick up on it... but for now the way you've set up your macros is good. :)

You can try something like... Code -- Set up Ready Modes for varying Accuracy levels and keybind...
state.ReadyMode = M{['description']='Ready Mode', 'LowAcc', 'MedAcc', 'HighAcc', 'MaxAcc'}
send_command('bind xxx gs c cycle ReadyMode')
Define all your necessary gearsets:
Code sets.midcast.Pet.WS = {}
sets.midcast.Pet.MedAcc = {}
sets.midcast.Pet.HighAcc = {}
sets.midcast.Pet.MaxAcc = {}
Set up your midcast so Gearswap equips the correct set based on the Ready Mode. Something like this:
Code function job_pet_midcast(spell, action, spellMap, eventArgs)
if physical_ready_moves:contains(spell.name) then
if state.ReadyMode.value == 'MaxAcc' then
equip(sets.midcast.Pet.ReadyDWNE.MaxAcc)
elseif state.ReadyMode.value == 'HighAcc' then
equip(sets.midcast.Pet.ReadyDWNE.HighAcc)
elseif state.ReadyMode.value == 'MedAcc' then
equip(sets.midcast.Pet.ReadyDWNE.MedAcc)
else
equip(sets.midcast.Pet.ReadyDWNE.LowAcc)
end
end
...
And you can extend that to work for magical Ready moves also.

For an Update to your Feral Howl set, there is an Earring in Rei that has 10 Acc, and 10 Magical Acc. I am unsure of its name but I remember BST being able to wear it.
I think it drops off T2. Was made aware of it today, unsure if BST is able to wear it. I'll try to find the name in the morning.
EDIT: Dimi Earring.
Also Sanctity Necklace, in place of Voltsurge Torque. - BST Can wear.

Is Fireball ever consistently over 9-10k vs VT acuex? I'm kind of on the fence about investing in a Pet MAC/MAB set since VT acuex can already be 2-shot without one with the right pet.
I can usually get capacity chain #30 in Woh Gates solo with trusts vs VT-IT and don't want to make a gear set just for a few select camps. I actually melee here a little too, but things die super fast. 2-shot things with tiger most of the time. Koru-Moru helps a ton! Pet kills faster when he's tanking too.
BTW I found that I do the best when I only use support trusts there and NO trust tank. Less paralysis spam too. You can get chain #30 with full MP. The only things that slow you down are the eft links because pets generally don't listen to commands very well.
PS the bat camp stinks unless you like waiting on pops! I've yet to get into an Apex party.

I have a feeling I am going to have to solo the NMs to get my Valour gear, but I do have a friend with an Incredible PLD that would work together to do those NMs.
Is there a Guide anywhere besides the random ones posted here on how we'd go about Solo/Duoing the higher Tier NMs so we can get the items we need for our class? Without having to solely 100% rely on a huge group to get them? If possible. Please let me know. Because we'll work on doing it as soon as we find a method to do so.
By geigei 2015-12-15 03:33:45
Huge group not required, i didnt touch any as bst but i've seen some, 2 bst + some support rape lots of stuff, imo solo is a waste of time, i'm pretty sure shouting is your best bet.

Sang Buaya drop Val Mask, should be able to solo him on bst using Randy or Patrick, fairly simple fight; make sure your CB and BL are up before you pop.
Gombery drops Val hands, solo him with Grasshoper and use Rosulutia trust for AOE spam, 1hr and spam buffet.
Taelmoth drops Val legs; use Randy and 1hr if you have to, don't stand directly in front of him and position your pet on opposite side of tankS.
Golden Kist drops Val feet, this guy can be solo'd but not so sure about doing it on bst. I suggest getting a darkness SC and blm -> death.
Always great to see someone willing to do it solo, we ARE bst's after all.

Why wouldn't I want to fight alongside my pet. Specially if its not stupid hard content. I'l not going stand there and be a SMN. If it can't hurt me, beyond absolutely NEEDing to be out of range, I will most certainly help output damage.
Saying a BST doesn't need WS or TP sets is just going to be ignored, too.
If you can melee it without making it a strain on trusts/people to keep you alive, then you should very surely melee to output damage as well. There is no harm if you're not being a nuisance to the People/trusts in your party by doing so.
I said you ALMOST don't need tp/ws sets. I have them. I use them.
but its a simple answer as to why you rarely need them. The vast majority of content is in 1 of 2 categories for BST tactics:
1. Stay away cuz its too dangerous to be close
2. Your pet will kill it before you engage
The animation delay for engaging/disengaging makes alot of fights not worth engaging on.
After 100 JP, you SHOULD have a 10 second recast for each ready charge. So you can often push out 10k+ damage every 10 seconds.
If you have the right gear this could be 10k+ AoE... or with grasshopper, you don't even need much gear and you often have 12K+ AoE (could be 20~30k depending on yoru gear and level content)
Its rare to find NON-NM mobs which survive 2 ready moves of a well-geared bst.
At that point, its not that you can't melee and do good damange, its that you won't do 10k damage before you send another ready move, then the mob is dead.
but hey, you don't even need to use ready moves. you can melee it down all you like.

Quick question...is anyone else having trouble magic bursting with their pets? It seems like I can only burst every 3 or 4 skillchains. I can try the bursts at different intervals during the SCs, but it doesn't always seem to take the burst...any thoughts?

Thanks. I will most certainly be doing this. I don't wanna 100% Solely rely on my LS getting my gear, when it may never happen. I am glad they help me with the stuff they do now, but I wouldn't expect them to go out of their way to gear a class that isn't directly benefiting the LS.

I didn't think of it this way, but if you say you have the sets, and use them, what exactly do you personally use them on if you can't get close to a monster without it being dangerous-or nor worth the time because of the damage output every 10s?
Sorry about how I replied, I didn't mean to say it in such a harsh tone. But Now that its been put into perspective this way, I understand better now. ^_^

CB = Call beast & Bl = Beast loyalty. I think Titanfoo meant to wait sometime before popping NMs so the timers for those two abilities are back up in case that you know what hit the fan

Is there some reason the axe from Old Schuck has absolutely NO pet mab/macc augments at all? Over 300 stones and not a single aug in that direction. Intended? or oversight? The weapon is war/bst Digirbalag.

Is it possible to get pet m.atk and pet m.acc simultaneously on val gear? I've used over 300 stones and it seems to be one or the other - am I unlucky or are these two stats mutually exclusive?
By Bomberto 2015-12-16 06:56:10
I don't think it's possible Larry. The best you can hope for is 15 INT and a ton of MAB
By CHENGMIKEY 2015-12-16 07:04:20
yes you can. just it is so random. sorry there was confuse when i type it. yes i have see it i have try. i only have see it on one JP bst that waste alot gil on dark matter. if i check around town and i see that bst i try to take a picture. sorry i personal dont have it. a MACC/MAB on my set. sorry.

@KnifeKatRengar
I'm salvage farming for Aymur. the beginning of each run I don't have a pet.
Some NM fights are you can survive up close alright.
By KnifeKatRengar 2015-12-17 01:03:26
May I also ask a question as to why on the WS Sets you use DA over WS+% Damage?

Which trusts did you happen to use?
For some reason I cant seem to get Silence to proc on Sang using lizard.
How do you dispel Taelmoth so it doesnt do extreme 1 hit shots?

My apologies if this has already been asked/answered, i looked last 3 pages and see nothing about Skullrender. My question is for non mythic holders what would be the go to axes for everyday life as a bst? Should i not waste time getting Skullrender since it's no where in the sets in OP? Ive been told 2 of them are apparently BiS if no Aymur. Thanks.

Without Aymur, Skullrender is still not BiS for ready move damage, or pet accuracy, but it is definitely a great hybrid weapon, and is good to macro in for Spur.
As listed in the Physical Ready Move sets, if you don't have Aymur, the next best ready move damage option will be two Kumbhakarna with Pet: TP Bonus +200 and attack +25. You should be making up for the accuracy in other slots (see OP), and changing out weapons (and hands if needed) as needed if accuracy is still an issue. The idea is to change out from your Pet TP Bonus gear last as you increase your accuracy.
Depending on how lucky you are, good augments on Kumbhakarnas may not be realistic, in which case Skullrenders are great, but still not as good as Kerehcatl, Nibiru Tabar(low acc), Digirbalag, for example.

Digirbalag with 30acc augm required for hard stuff.

How much WS+% geaar is there for bst? I can only think of a few pieces. I don't have them yet.
geigei's comment about Digirbalag and Acc make me think of another reason to not melee with pet. In really high level stuff, you can get your pet's acc high enough to be good, or your own acc high enough, but you probably cannot do both.

Priority/order of AF, Relic, and Empy gear to 119?
Edit: Updated to include AF+3 Armor.
Edit2: Updated to include Relic+3 Armor.
Artifact Armor
1. totemic gloves +3
2. totemic jackcoat +3
3. totemic trousers +3
4. totemic gaiters +3
5. totemic helm +3
Relic Armor
1. ankusa helm +3
2. ankusa gloves +3
3. ankusa gaiters +3
4. ankusa jackcoat +3
5. ankusa trousers +3
Empyrean Armor
1. nukumi manoplas +1
2. nukumi gausape +1
3. nukumi ocreae +1
4. nukumi cabasset +1
5. nukumi quijotes +1
The bolded pieces provide powerful or unique effects.
The non-bolded pieces are fine to make for completion, but are easily replaced, serve a near-duplicate function, or are applicable only in niche situations (i.e. Ankusa Helm +1, Nukumi Gausape +1).

Had a long post, but then I fail at exiting the wrong tab.. so short and sweet:
I came back a couple months ago, and I am an old BST that has adapted through the times, but have not come up to the current ilvl stuff. BLM is my main and BST is my secondary. My BLM is finally JP capped and have gained some BST stuff along the way to hobble along.
My question is, where at a minimum do I need to be at to join CP/JP groups? I'd like to take advantage of the current CP bonus.
Does it make a difference whether it be a manaburn PT in Dho, vs a BST PT in Reisen?

For bst parties in reisenjima. Use grasshopper tegmina buffet, have a puller pull in mass mobs. 3 bsts so 1 buffet each needs to kill the group. I got 150 Jps an hour this way. In between pulls target single mobs to keep chain going.
Must have 10 sec ready timer, enough accuracy and attack, af3 119 gloves preferably to bonus axes.
For apex mobs you take the place of a scholar, use lizard to make fusion skillchain think it was tail whip and Brain crush I forgot. And fireball for magic burst.
For manaburn target acuexs in sih gates. Must have enough mab and magic accuracy to two shot them using fireball from lizard. Can solo or group. Very easy solo or parties. Can attack and heel pet to pull them but must have pdt set and lots of biscuit.

Another lolquestion:
I seen you use Taupe Stones for certain augments on Valor Gear. I didn't notice a difference using Taupe vs Fern etc for augmenting. Got a Acc+30 Augment using Ferns(which are supposed to be for magical attack/acc or something?)
Is there a guide anywhere to solidify knowing what stones to use for what pieces so I don't waste 100 stones on a single piece that could be used for another type of augment?
Didn't see that anywhere in your guide mentioned at all.
