I don't mean to sound rude but can you format that output differently? Perhaps in a spreadsheet or CSV file? I'm having trouble reading it.

Thank you for the list. I've wanted a list of self MB/SC pets for a long time!

Charge ammount > pet name > pet ability > charge ammount > pet name > pet ability > charge ammount > skill chain type > Mb or no Mb > Mb ability

Was the format.
I didn't add jug name since it's redundant with original post.
Go to post 1 and click bestiary for jug specific name for jug pet.

There's 9 pets that can solo SC
4 of those can solo SC and Mb after
With a total of 8 different type of SC from the current jugs in game.
Hope that make it clearer.

Thinking about building a proper melee & primal set for Sharpwit distortion > primal darkness

Does anyone have any up to date melee sets & primal sets for Aymur III?

Look at the guide at the beginning of the thread. The sets are kept up to date pretty well.

Try something like this:
ItemSet 333128
Argosy: Path A
Artio's: [Acc/Atk+20, DA+10%]
Taeon: [Acc+25, DW+5%]

ItemSet 292382
Valorous: MAB 25+, WSDMG4%+
Artio's Mantle: [CHR30, M.Acc/M.Dmg+20, WSDMG+10%]

No prob. :]

Path D Argosy would technically be superior for TPing, but Path A augments will make the set ideal for a lot of physical Axe WSs.

Ah, I have MAB+22 hands and they don't beat Nukumi +1 that's why I was wondering I guess. Guess more incentive to get better hands as soon as I can then!

This is from a while back but many people have mentioned similar results, even with MAB+30 Valorous Mitts. I think the original testing was conducted "in a vacuum", so it didn't account for Pet:MAB in non-hands slots.

Assuming you're using Alluvion Skirmish Axes with TP Bonus augments, I've seen the following to be true...

Total Pet:MAB < 100 : MAB Hands > Nukumi +1 Hands
Total Pet:MAB > 100 : Nukumi +1 Hands > MAB Hands

Where most BST can easily surpass the Pet:MAB100+ threshold with decent augments on axes/valorous, I'd say the general Pet Magic Ready set now includes Nukumi Manoplas +1 (the exception being for Unleash where you'd use Valorous/Taeon/Acro Hands again).

ItemSet 333993
Kumbhakarna: Pet:TP Bonus+200, Pet:MAB20+
Valorous: Pet:MAB+30, INT+15
Diamond Earring: Pet:MAB+2

Total = Pet:MAB+204

If your Fireballs deal 7500+ on neutral targets, you're doing good.

That ideal set, without food/buffs:

Critical Ready move damage caps out around 9-10k, but those are your main options.

Ha, I mistakenly thought only Rabbit has a critical ready move. I need to pay better attention and probably read the guide again. Hard to keep everything in memory like a few years ago.

Percival probably a good tank for oryx.

if your aiming to break his horn dont bother, he will get it back instantly which heals him and gives him some other buff i believe, aka not worth it.

slow n steady...

So, I'm back, which is fun. However I haven't really played BST since before the distance change so I've got some probably really dumb questions.

Only get about 1-2 Omen runs a week where I can be on BST, and actually just got done completely failing at the first attempt. Given that with the range change and the fact that Omen objectives encourage meleeing and WSing, I'm curious what axe / pet / trust setups people are using for solo BST?

Back in the day, the only time I melee'd was for very time sensitive things (like HTBF) so I still off-handed Charmer's Merlin while meleeing. Do we still do this? Should I be looking more at combos of Arktoi / Iziz / Kumbas?

As for pets: With my sample size of 1, I was having trouble pulling the mobs without aggroing others because I didn't bring ninnuke tools as I should have, so I was using grasshopper to cleave the sweetwater mobs. This felt pretty clunky. Are people using ranged / nin tool pulls and single target pets or grasshopper or using magic cleave on the sweetwater? This answer will tell me how to set up the melee pet TP gear, so that should be okay.

And for trusts: Are people doing the standard Apu/Ulm/Joa/Koru/Qul set or other?

----

Thanks in advance for the responses! It's good to be back and playing BST even if I don't get to as frequently anymore.

I don't know of any success solo'ing ambuscade on bst yet.

Regarding trusts, I see no point in using ulmia.

You cap magic haste with haste II and a single march. I use Arciela II and Joachim. Arciela brings alot of other usefulness to the table.

I don't see a point in using both Koru-moru and Arciela at the same time, but either one fills many of the same roles.

Regarding qultada, I'm not aware of him buffing pets at all, but the info is pretty scarce on website.

Sometimes I really like having Brygid out.

In another matter, I wanted to discuss the opinions about Reward sets.

I noticed Falkirk updated the set in the guide to use Totemic body 3 and Artio's mantle to cap out the 50% reward+ potency.

However, when you don't use the ankusa feet, you lose out on the beast healer augmentation.

which is potentially a 10hp regen. Is there any good use beast healer merits at all?

I haven't reviewed my merits for a long time.
...just checked, and it looks like I have 1 merit in beast healer, so I'm only getting 1hp/tic from the boots, which I guess answers my question.

I'll get more from packing the foot slot with mind. I don't want to move more merits into beast healer, and i think I'll get more from a big Reward than from more regen, making ankusa feet not really needed at this point.

Forgive me if I missed it, but for Omen Caturae fights are people using their max ACC sets? Reports from people playing melee with us so far are that 1400 ACC seems to be what is required, is that consistent with BST experiences here?

Also, has anyone been solo tanking as BST for the Caturae? Only screens I've seen have been of multiple BST using Randy, which makes sense, but I was leaning towards AHoney if solo tanking, thoughts?

Finally, does anyone have any experience as BST taking Decoy Shot from RNGs and snarling it onto pet? Does it work well? We are considering BST + AG anni RNGx2 + GEOx2 + COR probably for some runs.

Welcome back, Sath!

Regarding accuracy requirements, that does sound consistent for the Caturae. Even in a MedAcc set, I experience a handful of missed Ready moves, so generally will sit in HighAcc until it's safe to Run Wild.
We don't usually have a Torpor bubble or a COR, so your group may have an easier time landing hits.

We generally have a PUP, but after certain attacks (Unfaltering Bravado, Zero Hour, Death Sentence) jug pets can tank for a while without too much concern. Mostly it's the magic damage that is an issue, though Vex can assist with that.

Haven't personally tried any Decoy Shot strats, but sounds like an interesting idea...! If you attempt it, let us know.

Good luck. :)

Hey Falkirk and Cute Drawings again :D

Got an Important Question about BST Gear Hands

Got a Friend that Recently come back to game and he used to be a nice BST back then, however he been gone for a bit

He said Emicho Gauntlets are WAY Better than Valorous Mitts

Not sure about that cuz Valorous Mitts can get nice augments , so Wanted to ask the Source ! :D

Which is BEST for BST ?

Emicho Gauntlets
or
Valorous Mitts

Thankfully, it's very simple to evaluate which is superior.

- Pet: STR+15, Attack+30, Accuracy+15, DA+4% (Perfect taupe stone augment.)
- Pet: Attack+40, Accuracy+15, DA+3%, STP+6
- Pet: Attack+55, Accuracy+20, DA+4%, STP+7

Your friend is correct that Emicho Gauntlets/+1 are the better option, especially considering you don't have to rely on a perfect random augment to compete.

:O

Wow , I wouldn't Expect that one X.x

Thought that
- Pet: STR+10, Attack+40, Accuracy+40, DA+5%, Crit +5%, DT-5%(Perfect fern stone augment.)

But Guess was mistaken so ACC caps at 15 not 40 on Taupe ?

So far got this ones:
- Pet: STR+8 ACC+29 R.ACC+29 ATK+13 R.ATK+13 DA+1% (Even tho not perfect, I thought if we put more stones on it , might become something Amazing like the ACC+40 ATK+40 DA+5% Crit +5% at least

Cool , ty for the info Falkirk as always you saved the day :D

I shall go see what drops Abj and all that for Emicho Gauntlets

The pet augments on Valorous have different caps compared to melee path, and also differ compared to Herculean/Merlinic pet augments.

When Attack and Accuracy both appear, one is dominant (caps at 30) and the other caps at 15. In the example you posted, Accuracy was the dominant stat.

Regarding the other special stats (DA, PDT, DA/Crit, STP, Subtle Blow, Regen), only 1 can appear at a time because they all share the same augment slot.

So the perfect Fern Stone augment that you could hope for is:

- Pet: STR+10, Attack+30, Accuracy+15, DA+5%

So we haven't been able to try the decoy shot yet because one of the RNG wants to update their gear a bit first, but I wanted to comment on accuracy.

We've done 2 runs now with me on BST (RIP 8 SCH cards, that set is trash) which have been very smooth (Kyou path, thinker > gorger) which we reached boss with 25min and 37min left respectively using BST NIN GEO GEO COR WHM. I've been using my 1260 ACC set with Akamochi +1 and either Drachen Roll or Idris Torpor, not usually both at the same time. I've yet to drop below capped ACC on either F3 or F5, which is nice, even before using RW. I don't know if there is an EVA distribution among the Caturae NMs, but so far it has been going well at ~1400+/-50 ACC.

Also, for UB (Haven't done Fetters NM as we are farming RNG necks first), between 2 luopan, pet, and 6 characters, we barely fall into orange HP. GEO + BST (Or PUP or SMN) trivializes the move if you line up for it ahead of the triggers.

Finally, on Kyou (I can't speak to other Caturae) I have been using RW at the start so that I can push harder and faster without worrying about the back-to-back 25% then 10% triggers which take serious time away from DPS in order to properly position.

Hope some of this helps! I will definitely report back once we've tried the RNG method.

This is not nearly enough information for anyone to help you.
If you are talking about Falkirk's bst lua, then I'd suggest downloading it again. Or did you download the mote include file also?

If its something else, I'd suggest uploading your lua.. and probably to one of the gearswap support threads rather than here.

It worked out of the box for me, then I modified it a bunch.

otherwise, you should pay attention to the error message when it doesn't load. it usually tells you the line where something needs to be fixed.
and post those error messages here.

on a totally separate note..

I suggest putting the Onca suit as an honorable mention/alternative for mdt/mdb sets. Granted it really hard to compete with the Tartarus mail, but seriously the defensive and offensive stats for Onca suit are REALLY REALLY good.
Offensively, it competes with Argosy +1 body/legs combo and defensively its almost as good as Tartarus/arjuna combo

The defense is higher than any body/leg combo BY FAR.. and being one piece for 2 slots and a VERY good, if not quite BiS for several sets, it could be a huge space saver. I'm a little suprised I don't see ppl using it more, then again I don't know the drop rate, but I saw beazt sporting it for his Urmahlulu solo video.

... Onca suit only prevents leg gear correct? not hands and feet? cuz the stats are really incredible for alot of things.

Like Xilk mentioned, we'd need more information to assist you (assuming you haven't already resolved the issue).

Unfortunately... it occupies all 4 of those gear slots. :[

We can still make it an honorable mention if you think it's worthwhile.
