So, I wonder what's says about John McCain, who was born at a US Naval base in Panama.
Military bases are considered U.S. soil.

Tell Christie to simply dress better. Being fat is no excuse.

One of my mom's co-workers was telling me about the time Christie visited her school. She said he was all sweaty, out of breathe, and reeked like old man, lol. Makes Biden look pretty good now.

Christie looks like he'd have a heart attack just brushing his teeth every morning. Kind of like that's all the exercise he thinks he needs.

Military bases are considered U.S. soil.

Not when determining US citizenship

Quote:
Birth on U.S. Military Base Outside of the United States or Birth on U.S. Embassy or Consulate Premises Abroad:
(1) Despite widespread popular belief, U.S. military installations abroad and U.S. diplomatic or consular facilities abroad are not part of the United States within the meaning of the 14th Amendment. A child born on the premises of such a facility is not born in the United States and does not acquire U.S. citizenship by reason of birth.

I would think he smelled more like rancid road kill bacon.

Fortunately, I can neither confirm nor deny whether that is true....

Maybe I'm misreading their page, but it looks to me like they're accredited for all their programs through SACS and the following are additional accredation by field-specific lesser organizations?

You're not misreading, they received regional accreditation for a number programs pretty recently (2006) when they founded a medical school, which is where most of their accredited degree programs are.

It received a partial accreditation fairly early on and there was some controversy over them not adhering to the curriculum they claimed for accreditation. Sadly, most of the details are not publicly available.

I don't think Ted Cruz is really in the race though. I see him more as the mechanical rabbit at the greyhound dog track.

My gut tells me they are just trying to run the press around the track a few times and get them tired.
Nah, he's more like the GOP's sacrificial lamb for 2016, just like Sarah Palin in 2012. Remember when the media had a field day with how stupid she is? "Oh, I have a lot of international policy experience! I can see Moscow from my house!"
Eeyeah. The GOP needs a whippin' boy for this time around. Seems they talked Cruz into doing it.
Hey Candlejack, you still have yet to prove your earlier claims.

Get on it, chop chop!

I know exactly what accreditation means, it's not a difficult concept. It is an important part of academia and it's only as good as the organization that issues it. Hence all the Christian school accreditation organizations being laughable and why most private Christian universities not being considered real universities.

So, tell us the difference between WASC (a regional accreditation association) vs. SACSCOC (another regional accreditation association) again?

Besides the obvious *** answer like that you are part of the region the WASC accredits colleges and universities.

Guys, when did we start caring about where pres candidates are born?

Besides, if your dad or mom is an American citizen, then you are automatically a US citizen. "Natural born" doesn't mean born on US soil, it just means there is no naturalization required.

It's a non issue, just like Obama.

Region, obviously. They also accredit different organizations, WASC does not accredit degree granting programs.

If you're going to a "university" that either doesn't grant degrees or grants them from programs that aren't accredited by a reputable accreditation organization, you're not going to a real university, period. Liberty University has some accredited programs, mostly in their medical and some in their law school, and a lot more "accredited" programs everywhere else.

That's a misconception. If you are born on foreign soil, you are entitled to natural born status, but there is paperwork involved. If both parents are US citizens, you file a notification that your child was born abroad. If only one parent is a US citizen, it gets a little more complicated depending on where the parents reside and how long, etc.

Natural born citizenship is not automatically granted unless you file that notification and receive receipt of filing on or before their 18th birthday and only if they reside in the physical US, etc etc etc.

TL:DR - Birth Abroad doesn't automatically grant natural-born status.
