Mono and poly unsaturated fats are the 'good' ones right? Or do you need a little saturated as well?
I think they proved trans fats did no good.
Saturated vs Unsaturated is whether they're solid at room temperature. Unsaturated fats are generally better for you (lowering blood cholesterol), but all fats are contain 9 calories per gram. For reference, both protein and carbs are 4 calories per gram.
The ADA and FDA recommend no more than 30% of your total calories from fat and no more than 10% of total fat intake be saturated.
