Yeah you can, may want to hold off and see if you get lightning SSB though.

Considering that guns have weak damage it also kinda hurts. Ras Algethi has 117 damage whereas the swords he mentioned have around 125 average damage as I have no clue which he has.

I use Wakka about 90% of the time in my parties, basically on anything that doesn't say "Resists breaks". Right now I don't really need mental break to hit damage cap with aja spells so I can drop mental break and just use Full+Armor probably, which will certainly increase the strength of my melee like Squall. I don't really come close to hitting the damage cap with him yet, even with Status Reels+Armor Breakdown my Cutting Trigger tends to hit max 8000 a shot so I'm excited to try out full break. Plus the added defensive component might allow me to not use SG/SS2 as my RW as much and try out other RWs like Planetary Protector.

It's a dance move. Fever Dance. AoE full break.

Is there supposed to be enough time to use Draw Fire, Retalite, and a SB before Draw Fire wears off? I finally feel I need to use retaliate for this +++ battle because it basically forces you to and I've never done it. First try, everytime I used Advance and/or Morphin Time my Draw Fire would wear off and someone would get bopped.

Is your speed set low? When I set to 2 I typically have at least three turns before draw fire wears. It lasts longer than retaliate which typically only lasts two turns.

Oh, so I should be using Draw Fire > Retalite > Soul Break > Retaliate > Draw Fire? I was putting Draw Fire back up first. My speed is 2.

Using RW takes about like two turns with how slow it is iirc. That should work though.

According to this spreadsheet:

Retaliate: lasts for 15 secs
Draw fire: lasts for 25 secs
Boost/morphing time: lasts for 25 secs

Personally, (suposing im hasted) I use Retaliate -> Draw fire -> Advance or other ability -> retaliate -> ability -> ability -> retaliate -> ...

Haste isn't needed for this fight. Are you stacking morphing time with advance? That might be the problem. I used boost+draw fire+retaliate and SG for dmg mitigation. Just focus on dmg mitigation on the first form. His second form is easy.

I'd personally get rid of Shellga and use SG RW. He has one magic move and he doesn't use it often. He used it twice and SG was enough to mitigate dmg. Your BLMs will do decent dmg. Swap double hit for armor break and Shellga for another nuke.

Do you have self-sacrifice or dragoon determination rm? Those will do more dmg than soldier strike and katana master unless your over the soft cap.

Personally i would drop protectga as draw fire+retaliate will reflect most Hojo attacks. Though im not sure if Combo bypass draw fire as probably my DF wore off at that point, but its great countering 4 times. I had luck even without draw fire, Hojo used Combo against my Tyro with advance+boost twice. It was a free 50kish dmg done.

The first time I tried I got absolutely wrecked without protectga by the AoE physical move the second form does. Managed to beat it with that setup, used Advance during the first phase and just ignored it during the second to make sure I had Taunt/Retal up 100% of the time.

Finally got 50 mythril for the beginners event...

3x6 4x4 1 5 star... = Feral Pride armor for ff13 and choose Tyrfing (SG SS2 ADVANCE SAY WAAAAA)

I got home after work and friend texted me about Vales being up.. Did a dollar pull....

I am legit so salty, the two items I got weren't even on the banner.

Paid for a 3x pull and got another 5* hat that I have zero use for and has no unique SB, not on banner.

Its a very long run, but that staff probably will come back during the SSSSB Fest, and that fest just feature SSB and unique relics, no shared or without SB relics. Lots of people will be saving mythril right after FFV banner just for that.

For those doing the rites. Ff4 cecil 110 difficultly just go defensive. Cecil kills himself so full defense is an option. Good luck.
My first win was just a basic team w/ cecil pld. Only won it cause of sentinal.
