Not the most exciting but this was my final piece of Phalanx +5 gear that I needed for PLD:
 Got these on my alt account for BLU/THF/DNC:  DM has been good to me this time.

Over the years I’ve gotten like...MAYBE 5 useful DM pieces. Idk how people pull all these amazing augs every campaign.
Well I've gotten a lot of TH+2 and Refresh+2 pieces, won't deny that, but that's not really hard, when a single stat has only 2 possible values is not really that hard to get it capped, right?
WSD I hardly see the stat to begin with. Highest I've seen is 7%, with shitty other augs. Most of the (rare) times I see WSD it's 1-3% And that's it. Years of DM campains, never missed one, but never seen anything good =/

 Is this any good at all? Finally get a really high wsd but the other stats are so incredibly bleh >.< After 2 weeks of garbage rolls trying to get a good set of WSD Herc Pants, it happened today.

Quesyion on WSD. At what point WSD is good along with others stats mix with it. Example val piece for sam tachi fudo. Augments with Str 15 WSD 5 is good and I think considered BiS from some of the sets I've seen.
So really my question is whats the number for WSD for it to out weight the shitty stats that you get for certain. Mind you im mainly talking about it for SAM. Is WSD 6 good even if the rest of stats have no relevance to the job it self? my rule of thumb is that for a 100% stat mod WS, 1 WSD is about the same as 5 stat.

So, calculate (weapon dmg + stat term + extra stat)/(weapon dmg + stat term) x 100. Then you gonna have a percentage to compare with WSD. Though, with the higher base dmg from current weapons plus hundreds of stats provided by the gear, its expected something like +15 str to be severely impacted by diminish returns. I think at best, it should be equivalent to 2%, but can be way lower than this. You need to do the same calculation for WSD, it has diminishing returns too.
I was doing math for LS friend not so long ago and I had like 1wsd=4.83STR for Fudo at around 600 base damage and 55%WSD.  Where were you before Cohort Cloak R15... Weeew said: » Where were you before Cohort Cloak R15... Tbh this is weaker for magic WS than Fern 5%WSD 35mab.
