Word on the grapevine is that people have found unused voice lines on the PTR alluding to a hero/villain based on stealth and assassination mechanics.
Sombra?

Some new stuff based on a bunch of blue posts and some articles I was reading:
-Major patches to be expected at the end of every month
-Several new heroes are almost ready for release
-Same for maps, we'll learn about these at Gamescom
-A new set of skins should be dropping in the August update
-Ana is getting buffed
-McCree is getting a midrange damage nerf
-Matchmaking is being adjusted in many areas
-Other social and gameplay adjustments are planned such as enhanced friends lists and premade group indicators for quick play

Ana:
Biotic Rifle
Rate of fire increased by 20%
Magazine size increased from 8 to 10
Targets of Ana’s Sleep Dart will no longer instantly recover when damaged (recovery time is now 0.5 seconds)
McCree:
Peacemaker
Primary Fire
Damage falloff range decreased by 10 meters
Damage falloff amount is unchanged
As a result, even with this change, McCree’s effective range is still higher than it was at launch
Alternate Fire
Rate of fire increased by 15%
Flashbang
Recovery time (i.e. the amount of time before McCree can fire again) decreased from 0.5 seconds to 0.35 seconds

Okay so... in a game where a lot of people give it praise for its art style and where a large portion of the motivation to play is obtaining skins that alter your appearance for other players... you want to make it so you can't see your team mates? Fail.
In a game that gets a HUGE benefit from not being excessively violent with blood and gore, you want to limit the available player base by adding those things? Fail.
I don't even know why you want a backflip on Hanzo, no one plays Hanzo competitively. What would a backflip do aside from inducing motion sickness? Fail.
Hit detection is fine how it is, if you are good you know you hit. If you are, I dunno, a Hanzo scrub spamming arrows and relying on your oversized hit boxes while you try and hit people through walls, it might be harder to tell if you are hitting people or not.
Really, reading your post all I can think of is that it sounds like you don't even want to play Overwatch. It sounds like you want to play Gears of War or something. Maybe... go do that instead of shitposting?

Fail. I wasnt saying that. My team mates make better Walls than Windows which is a serious problem when surrounded by them. Also changed my mind.... you shouldnt be able to "shoot through" anyone. Just like Anna cannot
In a game that gets a HUGE benefit from not being excessively violent with blood and gore, you want to limit the available player base by adding those things? Fail. Rated M, 3rd Person Shooter games like MGS5, make Overwatch FPS Rated T sales look like a joke. On console in perticular. Rated T is F.A.I.L you got it backwards
I don't even know why you want a backflip on Hanzo, no one plays Hanzo competitively. What would a backflip do aside from inducing motion sickness? Fail. With bow drawn Hanzo moves as slow as a turtle and the easiest kill in the game by far. Being able to launch as high as Genji instantly raining down arrows from above on overly aggressive attackers would fix Hanzo

If you are, I dunno, a Hanzo scrub spamming arrows and relying on your oversized hit boxes while you try and hit people through walls, it might be harder to tell if you are hitting people or not. LoL actually dont use Hanzo any longer. Mainly Zenyatta, which his attack orbs are too damn large. Pharah, who needs a nosedive downward function. S76, where I want to see some f'ing blood...
Really, reading your post all I can think of is that it sounds like you don't even want to play Overwatch. It sounds like you want to play Gears of War or something. Maybe... go do that instead of shitposting? What's wrong w/ removing the Red Skull showing "you killed someone" and other useless bells & whistles distracting from the overall combat?

Also what's wrong w/ supporting charging monthly subs and removing RNG bought Loot Boxes?
Supporting M+KB on console?
Cross platform combat(PS4+XB1+PC)?
Thx for the input btw. I got more serious feedback from you than I did that whole thread and thier whole lolPCMR filled OF.
How pathetic the almighty creators of WoW being forced to ask SE, thier competition, to sell thier game in Japan and cant even offer what SE did back in 2002.... pffft

PS4 and Xbox would be fine but if you add PC it would be unbalanced.
*** a monthly sub
Why do you want to see blood so much in a cartoony game? There's no reason for it.
Even if they gave it the visual effects you want it won't magically sell a ton more copies. Same with a higher rating.
Ratings have never really mattered, it's about the gameplay. I have never heard someone say "I'm gonna buy this game because it has an M rating. It must be great"
You're comparing this to MGS? It's a completely different type of game. It's meant to be realistic and Overwatch isn't.

Quote: TL,DR - Gears of War is the perfect example of how to visually express to a player that bullets are connecting.
Too many gd siezure inducing FLASHING LIGHTS and not enough meat w/ my mf potatos Even if they gave it the visual effects you want it won't magically sell a ton more copies. Same with a higher rating. I agree. Having both a Rated T and Rated M version should at least help some.

I agree KB/Mouse should be an option.
Cross platform won't happen, there are already too many mechanics that are already completely different on consoles. You wouldn't be able to mash them together without either nerfing or buffing an entire player base.
Changing to a sub would be a terrible financial decision at this point. For one, you have players who would erupt from having already spent hundreds on loot boxes. For two, you would have players who would just drop the game if a sub fee started. Plus, you would lose out on tons of potential money earned during special loot box events like the ones going on right now with the olympics. Blizzard would have to take in a steady diet of lead paint to make that decision.
Rated M, 3rd Person Shooter games like MGS5, make Overwatch FPS Rated T sales look like a joke. On console in perticular. Rated T is F.A.I.L you got it backwards
Again these types of games have a very limited target audience. Just simply making a game M over T limits the actual ability to purchase games. Children under 18 have to technically have a parent buy the game for them.
Making the game more violent would eliminate a lot of the player base who enjoy the game because it is a fun and goofy atmosphere.
Blizzard wallets should be thankful you are not in charge of any of these decisions, as you would seriously cost them thousands of dollars with this crap.

It's only selling extremely well on PC and still MGS5 on console made more money in 24 hours than OW in 1 month. Almost.
Figured I'd make this since we're talking about it anyway.
Main Website: http://www.playoverwatch.com
Overwatch is a team based FPS that centers around heroes who all have different abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Players compete in one of three (as of the time of this post) game modes including King of the Hill, Point Capture, and Payload Escort.
Heroes: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/
There are 21 heroes in the game, and they each fall into a category (Offense, Defense, Tank, or Support). These categories define their abilities and give you an idea of the role that they should be playing on the battlefield. This is by no means black and white for most characters, however most team compositions benefit greatly from a diverse setup of multiple roles of Hero. Quick hero overviews/guides can be found in this playlist: https://youtu.be/sVwl1KmefiI?list=PLOW3wTM0_w5_CVjO9q3r5dlTpDf9udg8s
A set of cinematic shorts featuring some of the heroes of Overwatch can be found here:
And a set of comics can be found here:
Business Model: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/buy/
Overwatch follows a Buy-to-Play model, meaning you need to purchase the game ($40-$80 on PC depending on which edition, $60-$80 on console) to play. The game features an in-game currency system that is earned through play, however it is possible that in the future this becomes buyable with real money as well (as of now, there has been no indication of this). All Heroes released post-launch will be free and require no additional monetary investment. Any other potential DLC or microtransactions have yet to be seen or spoken about.
It's a pretty awesome game, can't wait to play more on May 24th!
