It is funny how our team manager refuses to make more active players play in this tournament than those who hardly plays in their own teams... He only changed our forward for this match and the new one was injured the whole season in China and only played like 2 games... I mean... WTF.

Our left back was kicked out of squad for the last few months of our league. Our right back was injured for a very long time, missed like half of the last season. Arda isn't playing in Barca at all and he was forbidden to play for the first 6 months of La Liga. Our center backs are not... center backs. One of them is a left back, the other is a center defensive midfielder. One of our attacking midfielders rarely plays in his own team. Our midfield doesn't have any defense oriented player... Do I need to say more?

Starting into the season he had to sit out a red card suspension. (3 games
Played a few games till an inury from end of october to end of november.
On and off the bench from there on till end of february.
Yellow card suspension, 2 games on bench.
did one more game beginning of april.

Erkin was bought from Inter. If he was kicked from Galatasaray before then already then he must have done something bad to deserve it. So it's obvious that is what I was worried about.

I'm skeptical to consider this a great victory from Spain, as much as a display of failure from Turkey. They were just unexpectedly weak in both matches tbh. I thought they would put up a better fight.

Erkin was unhappy being benched for an upcoming big game against Galatasaray and verbally attacked the coach Pereira during a team gathering.
He apologised on twitter a few days later but the suspension was never lifted.

Inter bought him from Fenerbahce. We got him from CSKA Moscow in 2010. He played for Galatasaray on loan for a year before that.

He was kicked out of squad by the manager because he was acting disrespectful to him and causing unrest (at least that is what was said in the news). He went through divorce which might have played a part in his offensive behaviour, but that is no excuse to cause a stir in the team.

Edit: and yeah, he allegedly assaulted his manager verbally which was the last drop that spilled the cup.

Sorry lapsus cause we went shopping from Galatasaray a few times already.
