While we won't see a goal for the rest of the evening according to my guess, why not talk about the Euro 2020. Is it a good idea to have it in 13 different countries? I like the principle, but I can think of a few problems. Ever since public viewing became a thing in Germany (2006) a real championship at home isn't needed anymore. Traveling for fans might become quite the task though. I think it's a nice idea with it being an anniversary year, but for the travelling fan it could get rather costly if their Nation goes all the way.

I hate when commentators say a penalty was missed when the keeper saves it. If it lands in row Z, hits a post or the corner flag it's a miss. If the keeper stops it going in the net then it's a SAVE.

I find myself rooting for Croatia despite betting against them. They're considered the underdog in this game but you wouldn't know it from the way they've played.

Maybe you are right with the championship at home feeling.
We had been successful enough since 2006 to preserve a feeling close to it, so we might be in an exceptional situation. On the other hand it is sad that big nations like Italy have to wait so long for a major tournament to be held there again. Last time was 1990 world cup and euro 1980?
