Could you elaborate? I'm surprised because he is actually one of the very rare players I've ever heard not sounding like a complete dumbass or broken record during interviews.
2010, World cup. French players rebel against the coach and go on strike in the middle of the world cup. They act like *** toward staff for no real reason, they're just here to stir ***.
Evra was the mastermind of it. After the world cup fiasco, he came out to journalists in order to clear his name and confront the people who blamed him for his actions.
It's one of the most laughable interview ever when it comes to French footballers and is often cited as an example of what a footballer shouldn't become (Ribery, Benzema and so on are the exact same kind of person, just to name those two).
Evra is one of those players who is absolutely incredibly good in club, he's a really good player, he has a nice attitude at Juventus, whatever, Benzema is the same in Madrid, but once he comes back to France/National team, he goes full retard and acts like a bully from the suburb. He's not an isolated case, he's just a bit more mature than others, giving him the leader role in shitstorms and drama.
The video I linked is a "best of" of his attitude. He's a full blown *** in France.
Dude literally answered a journalist "I don't care what he says about my attitude, dude is obese, he can't even juggle the ball 8 times in a row. If he ever manages to do that, I'll retire".
He has no charisma here, he's Benzema tier.
TL;DR:
watch world cup 2010 again.
Not English friendly, sorry, I'm not sure medias outside France treated the topic.
