Hello.

I recently came back to the game after a few years break, I had smithing to 100 on my old char back then I want to level it back up on this new char.

So far I've saved around 100 mil, will this be enough, is it harder or easier to level a craft now?

I know we can buy supplies to take them to 50? This was never really hard to do before but of course it helps just looking for some tips.

You can do it on 100mil np, however there is nearly no profit atm in the craft. Just a heads up! Its very easy to lv btw, can get to 110 semi fast if your willing to lose a lot of gil.

Two things worth keeping in mind:

1) You can now skill up on a recipe up to 11 levels below your cap (i.e. a level 99 or 100 recipe can get you to 110), the trade off is skill up rates drop off.

2) With the introduction of ROE you can buy a lot of gear that used to be craft only or uselessly expensive from vendors.

Together, with careful planning, some synths that were too cumbersome to be worthwhile in the past may be an extremely useful means of skilling up cheaply, and you may find it better to use lower level synths to bridge certain level gaps that may be too expensive. If money is no issue you'll definitely save some time doing a traditional skill up path, but I personally didn't find much added time in being frugal about my few mule crafts and was still able to get to 100+ in a few days or so.

I hit 110 earlier today along with gs70,ww50,cc40,lc50

So I need to finish up my subs, I have my stall, torque and gloves I only need the body.

Everything so far has cost me under 40 mil and I could have saved more gil farming clusters on a mule while crafting.
