My wife shares a name with a Disney princess

This makes for a fun game!

I think your Wife's name is Aurora or Pocahontas! I find it hard that anyone could have trouble pronouncing any of the names of the princesses though, at least in americuh.

The Russian hacking

This isn't a good term for it. Everyone thinks they are hacking the polling machines when really it is just refering to them hacking the emails.

Oh wow so NOW the progressives believe that Russia conducts political attacks and sabotage but only when it helps the conservative parties. But them doing the exact same thing back during the cold war, a political ideology war when they were even more politically active then now, is somehow unbelievable. Damn talk about cognitive dissonance.

Russia or it's cold war version, the Soviet Union, has been interfering in domestic politics of western nations since the end of WWII. The original goal was to foment and assist Progressive Socialist uprisings or political movements to combat western capitalism. Now that time is over and they are just trying to influence countries elections to get more favorable people elected.
Who the hell are you even talking to now? <_<

Here's the thing. There is the truth of what happened, and there is what is being reported (and how). This should be investigated, but it's being reported as if Russia handed Trump an illegitimate win, which isn't true.

Still stuck on the Donald Trump think, personally.

He's such a *** douche. He's like the time-traveling child of one of the Jersey Shore skanks and the somehow-embodied personification of every wrong lesson someone took away from the 80s.

Yea I agree, people are acting like Russia changed the votes. They just influenced the information received but honestly the media was doing the same thing.

Given how close some of the states were, it is fair to say their influence potentially changed the outcome of the election, but as its impossible to actually gauge that, asserting it as fact and stating that it renders the results invalid is problematic.

It also doesn't change the fact that Trump attained the GOP nomination regardless of the Hillary stuff.

But I still think there's a hell of a lot of compelling evidence that Russia's fingers are in far more pies than they should be and their hand could probably use a well-deserved slap.

Everyone's known that for decades now, they just chose to look the other way because it was politically expedient. Russia's current executive leader also happens to be their former departmental leader on clandestine political influence, otherwise known as a spymaster. Unlike what the movies depict, the vast majority of espionage isn't stealing secret nuclear plans but influencing a target nations political system to effect changes that are favorable to your own nation. We knew Russia had an extremely active, well funded and subversive political element since the 70's and that they were deploying this element to influence and alter the political election system in democratic nations. They wanted to create an environment more conducive to their own national goals, which in the 70's were about demilitarizing the western nations and enacting policies that would escalate into economic collapse. Nowadays they just want to influence countries to create economic conditions for favorable to them since the world power stage has moved from purely military into the economic arena.

But hey several posters here would criticize me every time I pointed to the Solviets for their cold war era shenanigans that influenced the US's liberal party.

Potentially offensive rant pertinent to my day.

I don't really care if you want to use ethnic (or ethnic-sounding made up) names for your children. I really don't. That's your right and who am I to tell you your culture isn't valid?

That said, if you have a name that isn't common or even that is entirely unique, you revoke the right to get mad when its pronounced wrong. ***'s sake. My wife shares a name with a Disney princess and people get it wrong all the *** time. Your name/your child's name has zero basis for comparison to 99% of the population. You really expect people to just be able to eyeball that alphabet soup you threw together? If it's not pronounced phonetically, that's your fault, not ours.

I got you some salt in case you run out !

And the sad part is, people seem to think that this is a one-way street.

Shall we bring up Hillary Clinton's accusation on Putin's election and how it was illegal?

Yet when it was suggested he's having his political opponents killed people balk and try to defend him. Even in the West!

...yet the same people have no problem believing various idiotic conspiracy theories about their own government.

Confirmation bias is awesome.

That's not to say I'm not guilty of it at times myself.

He isn't corrupt, he isn't even in political power yet.

At least wait until he becomes corrupted before accusing him of doing so.

Clinton Foundation says hi by the way. For the low price of $15 million, you too can influence US policies!

This feels like such a nitpicky semantics argument.

If he's the one doing the corrupting by paying people off, that's even worse, and he almost undoubtedly has done this.

Also, to reiterate (damn it Rooks, give me my edit button back!), if you are going to compare the two, Clinton is by far the most egotistical and pigheaded douche of the two.

If we are going to go that route, then you have done the exact same thing.

I say that because I have as much evidence as you do.

Zero chance of this happening. Even if I re-enabled it globally someday in a fit of idiocy, yours stays off forever, just because you whine about it so much.

If you really want to put someone's ego ahead of Donald Trump's on the ladder, then maybe you need to admit that you're just rooting for laundry at this point

Yet neither Clinton is in prison for anything, and it doesn't stop you from maligning them.

And there's evidence Trump has abused his own charity...
