And Trump refusing to call on the CNN reporter because they're "facts I don't like"? Freaking awesome.

The Media establishments have been deeply controlled by their respective political parties for a few decades now. It's not just financial control but editorial control, non-biased pieces simply aren't allowed to be published. If a reporter comes into a CNN managers office with a piece about some horrific thing Hillary did, the manage wouldn't allow it to be published and instead would "request" that it be rewritten in a way that puts her in the best possible light. Similarly if a reporter comes in with a piece that's not hyper critical at Trump, they are requested to rewrite it into an aggressive article that attacks or questions Trump. It's little things like changing the tone, phrasing and order of certain words to give it a different shade. Foxnews does the same thing for Republicans but since Trump isn't one of them they treated him as an enemy for a very long time.

There is a category of words called unqualified or nonqualifying. They are words that are completely devoid of meaning yet an be used to suggest something might exist but without and proof or direction. Words like possibly, could, may, alleged, might, and so forth. Whenever you see one of those words without another qualified nearby it should be a giant red flag that the writer is attempting to manage and bias the readers emotions.

"Joe Blow might be viewing pornographic images while at home."
"The bank indicates that it was robbed, Joe Blow could be in possession of money that's not his."

Both of those statements are unqualified and are designed to make you attribute a negative view onto Joe Blow without the writing needing to provide a reason or evidence for it. Joe Blow might indeed be viewing porn and could of robbed that bank, but there is no evidence of it and both statements are merely the writers personal opinion. If the writer would actually cite something as fact or attempt to present hard evidence, then they become liable to be sued for public defamation if they are lying.

Apparently Buzzfeed released the report that they are all crying about, it has nothing to do with CNN.

From everything I've read, CNN went first then Buzzfeed followed up by publishing the full report. It's generally not a good idea to accuse Trump of getting his information from who knows where then following up with false information of your own.

I wonder where he gets the idea that the US is last in "hacking defense?" Then again, I wonder where he gets any of his ideas from.
Just the other day news came out that the most important government figures of Italy were being hacked and unaware by a random couple living in UK. Which resulted in the head of our country cybersecurity to be fired cause he was clueless.

So I think the bar can go much lower.

This is the CNN article

Quote:
Classified documents presented last week to President Obama and President-elect Trump included allegations that Russian operatives claim to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump, multiple US officials with direct knowledge of the briefings tell CNN.

The allegations were presented in a two-page synopsis that was appended to a report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. The allegations came, in part, from memos compiled by a former British intelligence operative, whose past work US intelligence officials consider credible. The FBI is investigating the credibility and accuracy of these allegations, which are based primarily on information from Russian sources, but has not confirmed many essential details in the memos about Mr. Trump.

So, this is the actual story, its not facts I don't like, and it could become a big deal or it could turn out to be..well who knows really, depending on the results of the FBI investigation.

Buzzfeed then published the memos which has set off the Trump team, but that doesn't change the story.

Well if the memos were false it means that other information may be false.

This is what normally happens when you knowingly store and transmit classified information on personally owned devices.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/01/11/sailor-who-used-clinton-defense-after-mishandling-classified-info-seeks-pardon.html

Yet somehow her Majesty is above this and it was "no big deal", even though military service members are disciplined or even sent to prison over it.

Are you old enough to remember that liberals were aghast at media consolidation while conservatives were for it?

Not that it would have prevented politicization of the news, which is WAY older than I, but there would be many more voices.

Alleged has at least one mandatory usage. When police release information about a suspect they can't say he committed the crime even if there are surveillance vids of it and the suspect dropped his wallet at the scene.

P. S. Overall one of your better pieces of writing here.

Taking pictures of a classified nuclear reactor, then destroyed the evidence, next time maybe just take a picture of the bridge? Your children won't mind.

Ooh OH! Here it is on MSNBC getting reported on by this clearly intelligent guy..
http://www.msnbc.com/all-in/watch/bombshell-report-on-trump-s-russia-briefing-852067395616

Take a drink every time he says something along the lines of (unsubstantiated/alleged) I.E. "break out the tinfoil hats, it's gonna be a long 4-8yrs". 2 drinks every time he says Explosive!

The whole thing is "facts I don't like". Journalism is dead. We may as well watch SNL and the Daily Show to get our news nowadays.

I heard a joke from a coworker today.

What's the difference between a garbanzo bean and a chickpea?

Donald Trump never had a garbanzo bean on his face.
