Just reading the front page of the political section of MSN is pretty damn funny
Never in my life have I seen so many "fact checks" on one page.
Is this the "alternative facts" we all have been hearing about?
Alternative fact is just a fact that refuses to conform to society man ! So, liberal facts then.
They were called Real Facts or Correct Facts as opposed to Hate Facts.
Whats funny is liberals still taking Team Trump literally and throwing a fit even though everyone else just rolls their eyes. The dude speaks in exaggerated hyperbole to contrast his point. In practice (psst his actions) he is extremely practical and measured.

Someone should tell Trump that he doesn't have to fulfill all of his campaign promises in the first week. Standard procedure is to say you're working on it until year 8 and then blame Those Other Guys™ for preventing you from doing it.
Think he's trying to make a point and contrast to Obamas first term. President Obama had good intentions and many plans but he lacked the experience and skills to be effective on his own. He eventually had to buckle to his party and conform to their agenda instead of his own vision.

Yep.
They're *** pros, mate. The business world prepared them for this. They've got 3-4 decades of learning marketing/PR fake smiles and sleigh of hand.
"Look at this outrageous social injustice while I commit this egregious affront to actual rights."
I took a lot of PR classes within the journalism curriculum (my college was sort of odd in that PR was a journalism major, not business/marketing).
Donald & Co. are actually really, really, really good at PR.

I do believe I mentioned this before ... the cacophony of liberals shouting "OMG he's so stupid and ignorant and dump and an idiot, he's so going to lose everyone"

I'm not watching it but dollars to donuts he is trolling the liberals and inciting them to mass hysteria. He is really good at tricking others into making themselves look bad.

Over 4,300 gun crimes happened last year, and Chicago is supposed to have the most strict gun laws. Seems like no matter what, they'll get their hands on the little *** Well, if neighboring states didn't have such lax laws....
What the ***... that's about as dumb as it gets... Let me type this out slow for you. The narrative is Chicago's restrictive gun laws are having no effect slowing down violence. I am saying the gun laws must be doing something, since they are being brought in from other areas, not Chicago.

And that's ignorant as ***. That's not how guns works.
The vast majority of illegally owned guns are stolen and then sold on the street. Gang members, the perpetrators of the bulk of the violence, don't fill out paperwork to buy guns from a gun store. They buy guns from the trunk of a car through their connections. There are plenty of firearms already in Chicago that they don't need to bring in any more for those evil lax states.

So, basically, the "lax" gun laws in Texas is directly contributing to Chicago's gun crime and death. It has nothing to do with criminals who obtain said guns legal, or otherwise (protip: 99 times out of 100, it's not through legal means). These same criminals will obey the law if you restrict access to guns for the entire nation. Got it.

Brought in, or people are bringing them in? The gun laws are proving that people will go and find guns regardless. Think of prohibition and the War on Drugs, both were/are trying to restrict something yet that something always finds its way in.
People thinking that stricter gun laws will fix the problem of people killing each other are pretty ignorant of history.
By Ramyrez 2017-01-26 08:32:38
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't gun violence overall at its lowest in this country just about ever?
We get a little dazzled by high-profile shootings, but overall its trending downward.
Chicago has been a hotbed of crime for freaking ever.
I'm pretty sure as soon as two people lived there, one guy was stealing something from the other guy. That's just Chicago, man. It's part of its, er. Charm.
You can't legislate away bad behaviors. Not through soda taxes. Not through a war on drugs. Not through overly restrictive gun laws.

To quote Mark Twain:
“It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.”
I like how we're using Chicago's gun laws as an example and make hyperbolic statements like they're buying them in Texas or that illegal gun owners solely buy stolen guns out the back of the trunk. But do consider that Chicago's South East City limits border with Indiana, and that Kenosha Wisconsin is under 70 miles to the north. It's not like its sitting in the middle of nowhere Illinois isolated from areas without strict gun regulation.

For those of you that don't know... Chicago no longer has extremely restrictive gun laws... years back it was deemed that those restrictive gun laws were unconstitutional and they were abolished... they fought that for a bit here but they're almost completely gone and there is concealed carry here now...
Whether that has any correlation to the uptick in crime I wouldn't know and quite honestly I don't think it does... but you can't make the argument anymore that citizens aren't able to defend themselves because of restrictive gun laws...
The problem with crime in Chicago as it relates to gun violence is that one, it takes place in a few neighborhoods that most people don't care about and stay away from like the plague... its usually confined to these areas and Chicago is not a warzone as some might depict it... two the people in these neighborhoods don't trust or help cops so the police don't get any help usually even though people know exactly who did it in many cases... trust has eroded more and more lately too...
There's a lot more to discuss but I don't have time atm...

CHIRAQ!!!SHY-RACK!
Yeah it's gotten to point where points are being made off presumptions based on stereotypes and cliché TV tropes.
I guess if one watched a season of The Wire they're an expert on all the things that go on in the streets.

Depends on the law. However each persons feeling on gun laws, outside the blanket right to rise up against a tyrannical government provided in the 2nd Amendment, tends to come down to how they interpret the findings and precedents set in Miller, United States v.; 1939; 307 U.S. 174; 300 and Presser v. Illinois ; 1886; 116 U.S. 252; 172

Cook County still has several restrictions on firearms, magazine restrictions and ammo restrictions. Most online gun stores can't send things to Cook County because of these restrictions. If you do a little research into it you will find out that Cook County and Chicago actually have pretty restrictive laws but they are all ignored because the state laws aren't restrictive.
I'm personally only effected by the laws that restrict shipping so I'm unaware of how their laws are when it comes to buying guns, ammunition or magazines there.

Holy ***....
Dude do you even know anyone who's purchased an illegal firearm before? It's already illegal to sell a firearm to a criminal. The only way a gang member could get a firearm is through illegal channels, so yeah trunk of a car or other non-licensed means. It's illegal for a gun manufacturer to sell arms to unlicensed dealers. So how exactly do you think they end up in criminal hands? Burglars and thieves will nab any hand guns they see and then sell those to illegal gun dealers through the same people they unload other stolen goods. "Gun control" laws do jack ***to stop guns ftom getting to criminals.
Those other "lax" states should be over run with hordes of gangs and daily murders yet somehow they aren't. Because "Guns" is such a *** excuse. It's worse then "because illegals" on the economy.

I mean, why are certain people acting surprised now?
