Well, we are now living in the age where violence is condoned, not only by the protesters, but celebrities (Madonna's "blow up the White House), the media (New York Times is actually promoting violence against Republicans), and the democrats/liberals in Congress (Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer telling the public to go out and riot).
When people start shooting/stabbing/killing other people in the streets because they are Republicans, are they (democrats/liberals/media/celebrities) going to start condemning them for such actions? Or only when people start fighting back and we end up in Civil War II: This Time, With Nukes™ (btw, you owe me $.50 for reading that).
*Throat punches*
/would counter with a kick to the balls, but I don't see any on you.
Yeah, it's hard to see inside your own mouth.

It's almost like people will never learn violence doesn't solve much of anything unless you go "all the way," and it turns out nobody but fanatics have the desire to do that.

It's really sort of frightening right now that we're looking at an increasingly polarized country that pretty much has you picking which radicalized side you want to eventually side with.

I actually agree with Sav on this. There's this undercurrent of "well, violence is bad unless it's against people who are preaching terrible things" from parts of the left right now and it's just like "Look, mother ***. I don't like rightwing extremists any more than you do, but if you start using the same tactics they're preaching you're no *** better, you ***."

Anything for The Cause.

Though remember which side is scared of "Evil Guns" and which side has plenty.
A lot of Liberals have guns too.

Not all liberals are pot smoking, tree hugging, SJW gun fearers just like not all Conservatives are racist, war hungry idiots who hate women and love Jesus.

Too much generalizing here.

College students are stupid have any of you actually talked to one of them ?

It's not just Berekley it's everywhere.

Inversely, have you ever been one?

I mean, think back. Even you if you were straight laced and "rational" (at least, in university attendee terms), I bet your good friends weren't.

"Young and dumb and full of ***," as the old saying goes...

Yeah, it's hard to see inside your own mouth.
So, wait, did you just say you have no balls?

Or did you just imply that your throat punch was you punching your own ***?

You're sadistic!

Can't even tell you how pertinent this is right now. I was discussing this with my dad recently (which is pretty impressive, as el papa and I don't discuss much of anything, ever).

My dad's too liberal even for me. But even he's packing.

I think there's this sort of blind spot people have across the country, and in that blind spot sit Christian conservatives who aren't extremists and, well. Armed liberals.

I think we've just skewed the lines and made non-political issues political.

Nothing you can do to stop what? Because I have no clue as to what you are talking about.

I believe he is referencing the proverbial pendulum swinging right after several years of swinging left.

He's right, in that regard. Unfortunately.

You can't drag people kicking and screaming into something they don't believe in. It doesn't work that way. Even if that something is a largely positive ideal, some people aren't mentally ready for that change and will resist it and if you push, they're going to radicalize.
