Man is not capable of affecting the climate in the way libs want believe them to be. But even if we were, pumping out a bunch of co2 and/or warming up a degree or two has plenty of positives to look forward to.

I think we should speed it up I'm tired of polar bears and penguins !

If only all climate scientists were Americans, and all of the climate research was done in America, just like stem cell research came to a screeching halt worldwide when W banned it in the US. Wait that didn't happen? Foreign scientists don't care about American politics? Huh, who knew.

Steve Bannon Mixes Discarded Climate Change Report With Saliva To Build Final Wall Of Nest

Quote:
WASHINGTON—Revealing that the president’s chief strategist had been observed scuttling around the residence to gather materials, White House aide Alison Fordham confirmed Friday that Steve Bannon was mixing a discarded climate change report with his saliva to construct the final wall of his nest. “Over the last couple weeks, Bannon has been shredding environmental research papers with his teeth and combining the scraps with his own sputum to create a gray, viscous pulp that’s slathered on his mound in the corner of the Roosevelt Room,” said Fordham, who witnessed the assistant to the president grinding up a 200-page document on CO2 emissions in his mandibles, producing a tortured moan, and then violently retching for several minutes before spewing the partly digested, putrid substance on the floor. “It appears that the walls of Bannon’s nest were made from the hardened paste of several FBI dossiers on domestic terrorist groups and notes from several intelligence briefings, as well as a few pigeon skeletons.” At press time, White House officials confirmed that Bannon had completed his nest and was now showing signs that the eggs in his brood sac were ready for host injection.

I wonder how a massive volcanic eruption might throw off the data, if one as large as say, Mt. Tambora in 1815 were to happen.

Except your counterpoint doesn't work, because the "profit" for most people is having an environment that isn't ***. Not a Scrooge McDuck-like vault of dolla-dolla-bills, y'all.
So, are you saying that these scientists who study global warming is doing it for free, on their free time, using their own money to produce such research?

Also that those same scientists don't have influence over government policies or even global policies? That they are doing this all without any hint of the power that comes from making policy decisions?

Protip: Stop taking those meds, they are warping your perception of reality.
So does this apply only to climate scientists or anyone that does anything for money?

"Lead levels in the water of an Olinville school tested 16 times higher than Flint, Michigan, according to a letter to parents from the city Department of Education.

P.S. 41 at 3352 Olinville Ave. and I.S. 158 in Morrisania were both found to have levels of lead higher than the EPA's "action level" threshold of 15 parts per billion (ppb), according to letters the Department of Education sent out to families and staff at the schools.

Lead levels in the water at P.S. 41 were particularly high, with five faucets testing above 100 ppb.

A cold water faucet in a fifth floor bathroom for adults tested 442 ppb, the most toxic level in the school.

At I.S. 158, high levels of lead in the water were found in three classrooms, the kitchen, the boys locker room, the weight room and the second floor girls bathroom, according to a notice shared with DNAinfo by a teacher at the school.

The highest level of lead was in a cold water faucet in the girls bathroom on the second floor, which tested at 63.8 ppb, while the slop sink in the kitchen tested at 52 ppb.

During the Flint, Michigan water crisis, 90 percent of 271 homes tested were at about 27 ppb, according to a January 2016 Washington Post report.

However, the lead crisis in Flint stemmed from a chemical problem, while the lead found in New York schools likely comes from pipes.”*

Everyone.

But you know what the main difference between businesses and scientists are? Regulations & Laws. Regulations & Laws keep businesses straight, scientists aren't set to the same ethical standards as everyone else, which lets them be able to produce nothing and get millions/billions for it.

As individuals? No, but they can make upwards to $110k a year. A lab alone can cost millions in labor-only costs.

Let's also not forget assistants, administrators, executives, and so on. Also, the lobbyists who push for this on behalf of said institutes. They're the most important employees for the institute!
