I would post the study that most Canadians think they are better than everyone else, but then we would be getting a shitstorm of apologies here.

No one would read it anyway.
Of course they wouldn't.

Who would want to read bad fiction like "Canadians think they are better"?

Denmark to Hold First Blasphemy Case for Almost 50 Years After Man Burns Quran
Newsweek

Quote:
A man who set fire to the Quran has become the first Danish national charged with blasphemy in 46 years.

The 42-year-old man, who remains unidentified, filming himself burning the Muslim holy book in his garden in north Jutland in December 2015, and then posted the footage on an anti-Islam Facebook group called “Yes to freedom - no to Islam.”

He posted the video with the message: “Think of your neighbor: it stinks when it burns,” according to prosecutors, The Copenhagen Post reported.

Prosecutor Jan Reckendorff announced the charges in a statement released Wednesday. “It is the prosecution’s view that circumstances involving the burning of holy books such as the Bible and the Quran can in certain cases be a violation of the blasphemy clause, which covers public scorn or mockery of religion.”

The man will face judges in the city of Aalborg in the Jutland region, though authorities are yet to release a sentencing date. The maximum sentence for such an act is four months in prison but Reckendorff said the man will only face a fine.

In the vein of states' rights, Spicer said in a press conference today “I do believe that you’ll see greater enforcement of it” regarding federal laws against recreational marijuana.

Goes against what Trump said on the campaign trail;
Quote:
"In terms of marijuana and legalization, I think that should be a state issue, state-by-state," Trump told The Washington Post. "… Marijuana is such a big thing. I think medical should happen — right? Don’t we agree? I think so. And then I really believe we should leave it up to the states."

Should make a comparison with states that have legalized weed and which of those went Blue/Red in the Presidential election. There is probably a correlation.

North Korea’s Kim Jong Nam Killed With VX, the ‘Most Toxic Weapon Ever’

When killing an out-of-shape guy in public is too hard, make sure to use one of the most toxic compounds in the world. Be extra sneaky about it too, because it's not like anyone can pinpoint where this difficult-to-make, almost globally prohibited material came from.

How Did Kim's Killers Survive Nerve Agent Attack?
They shouldn't have been able to handle VX and live: experts

TLDR: Its an instamix 2 part thing.

Quote:
(Newser) – The banned chemical weapon VX is considered by some experts to be the nastiest of the nasty nerve agents known to exist. With a consistency similar to motor oil, it lingers for long periods in the environment and even a tiny amount causes victims' bodies to flood with fluids, producing a feeling of drowning before death, reports the AP. So when Malaysian authorities announced Friday that VX was to blame for the Feb. 13 death of the North Korean leader's exiled half-brother inside a busy Kuala Lumpur airport, it raised nearly as many questions as answers, including how the two women who allegedly attacked Kim Jong Nam with it could have survived. A toxicologist says the woman shouldn't have escaped unscathed—one reportedly vomited—as police have said they did not wear gloves or protective gear and only washed their hands after the attack.

One theory is that they took an antidote in advance. And the New York Times points out VX becomes lethal when two chemicals are mixed, something that can be done "at the last moment." Police have said the two suspects rubbed something on Kim's face in quick succession. Another toxicologist notes that VX—a small amount of which could kill 500 people through skin exposure—would likely have come from a chemical weapons laboratory, making it more likely that the attack was executed by a government. But he wants an independent lab to verify that VX was used, given that no one else at the airport was sickened. On Friday officials announced the facility would be decontaminated.

Yes, that is strange that a chemical compound that could allegedly kill hundreds with a small dose only seem to have affected one person (possibly two, the other being one of the women who initiated the attack) in a crowded airport.

Then again, it could all be sheer luck.

To save you your 15mins. Already know there was a 25k difference in votes but Trump and Johnson both got one electoral and Clinton got 3. Making it blue in 2016.

Huh?

Spelling it out: the federal government should be able to exercise its authority to protect vulnerable groups from discrimination and harassment because while sympathizers are waiting for normalization and empathy to develop, the affected people are still forced to navigate unwarranted hostilities.
So, are you saying that, by allowing the states to decide how to handle children using bathrooms, this will revert the US back to slavery?

That is your argument, don't forget.

The problem we face is, at what point does protecting one group, discriminate against another?

Sometimes, California has a (R) next to the governors name along with an (R) majority in the state legislature but oddly is always considered blue. Texas on occasion has a (D) next to the governors name and has had a democratic majority in the state legislature but still is considered Red.

But all that ain't got nothing to do with Trump being butt hurt about the states with legalized recreational weed not swinging in his favor. Except that Alaskan Thunder F' he got those 3.

Wow you really don't know ....

Maine and Nebraska are the only two states that have split voting, meaning that it's not a "winner take all" state for EC's. Maine has two congressional districts which basically divide between the southern cities and the massive northern wilderness towns. In 2016 Trump won one EC vote from the Northern Congressional District while Hillary won EC from the Southern Congressional District and as Hillary has a majority she also won both senator EC votes.

So for 2016 Maine was
Republicans : 1
Democrats : 3

That's the very definition of a Purple state.

Here is the results from 2016 Presidential Maine

The other items on the Ballot

So legalize recreational marijuana, create a gradual increase for the minimum wage both passed. Additional gun background checks failed.

This is the state that previously had the most moderate Republican Senators, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins and now has an Independent Senator, Angus King and Susan Collins.

And because some of those on the left are incapable of reading, here is a nice picture.

Each of those districts gets one EC vote, with Hillary winning the statewide majority by 22K votes (357,735 to 335,593) and getting the two bonus senator EC votes.

I wish the other states had the same system, would make elections a lot less about extremes and partisan politics.
