Commissions/requests?

What's the policy on commissions or craft requests?

I have a fairly niche request but I didn't want to just throw it up on the board not knowing the policies on such.

Sorry to burden the forum with such trivial matters.

Usually it's the cost of the mats + 5% (or 10%) of the HQ price if you HQ.

That is, if you don't supply the mats yourself. In that case, it's generally the 5-10% of the HQ price (something that would cost you 100 mil would cost you 10 mil to get it synthed).

i hate some of the crafting costs i see. Honestly, if its only a few synths, i usually do it for free. Some ppl ask insane amounts just for a single synth tho.

I had one guy i asked to do a synth for me. One single synth, i already had all the mets on me. Would have taken him 30sec, maybe 1 min. I forget exactly what i offered, something like 10k for it. I didnt care about hq. But he refused to do it saying the reward wasnt worth his time. And the mentality of that just pisses me off.

On the other hand i once asked a taru to synth something for me. I had all the mets, single synth. The equip had a hq that was worth a few mill, but it seemed like a long shot. And i was expecting a cheap(er) nq going in. But to my surprise he hqed the synth. So i said that if he could make me another one, he could have the hq. I was expecting to get more mets, but he ran to ah, bought a nq and gave it to me. And he kept the hq. Probably made a few mill off it.

Just send me a tell when you're on. Most of the time I'm just at worked and have this running in the background, can craft stuff for you np.

You bring the mats and make a deal on price on HQ if they want to do a few its usually free and a tip for HQ. Some ppl pay me 10k for 1 synth others pay me a lot more but I never ask for payment unless I am doing many synths. but yeah Smithing is not a big deal on mats for my server. So many have many mules with capped everything always someone willing to do for free or cheap.
